I can't compare the two services for you but I'd suspect that they are much the same. I don't know about AT&T but I heard that Verizon won't let you go back to copper once you make the switch to fiber. The one big advantage of POTS (that's Plain Old Telephone Service) is that the phone usually works during a power outage. With fiber the phone only works as long as the batteries hold up.

I had UVerse in my previous apartment, and now am stuck with Comcast. The. Comcast internet is fine, but the DVR (the new xfinity 1 platform) is problematic to say the least - things don't record even though they're set, sometimes you can't watch things you know we're recorded, etc.

When we were working we ate out a lot. At least one night a week we ate at a little seafood restaurant in a strip mall not far from our house. The waitress was a big, tall gal and when she wasn't busy she'd sit with us and tell jokes. :-) The owners were the sweetest people and the food was delicious. They caught their own seafood so you know how fresh it was. Menu was on a chalkboard and always had cheese grits (the best), greens and lots of good stuff. The owner made the best crab bisque but she wouldn't share her recipe. :-( They got so popular they moved to downtown Dunedin and it just isn't the same, but we still drop in and have lunch when we go down, and they still remember us.

i had not heard of it, so i did a bit of searching and AT & T is not in orlando. it's the same service i have thou w/ Brighthouse Digital cable & RoadRunner cable modem. we get 18 Mbps downstream which is necessary for files my DH downloads and sends for his MS degree courses. he's downloading a 5G file right now. we also get digital cable w/ HD DVR & it looks like the same services and prices, we pay $120 a month. i am looking around for better prices but we can't lower our Mbps speed. we rarely have internet issues and we've had cable modem for 10+ yrs. every couple yrs we've needed a new modem from lightning damage but we just take the fried one in to switch out. i am lucky DH is a techy because the one time i needed assistance, it was a RR problem, my DH told the helpdesk person on the phone what was wrong w/ their end lol. digital cable we don't often have issues w/ except when they 'upgrade' the system, things we are used to change. we can't live w/o either ~ liz
