When I lived in Houston I was a frequent Papadeaux's Customer. I'd get hugged by all the employees everytime I went there. Even the dishwasher.

Lori, my Walmart cashier gave me free flowers(snow in summer) one day, because the price was mismarked, but they don't have an accurate scan policy.....:0) She said she wanted to do it....and it made her smile...so I accepted.

Just got off phone with my internet provider/U VERSE television/phone service provider.

She kept looking and looking to see if she could put me back on a special to keep my bill down, which was over 45 minutes.

I kept telling her to take her time, and that I appreciated her efforts

Mom & Dad go to the same cafe every day, for at least 2 meals. They are treated like family, and if one is sick, someone is calling to check on them!

When we were working we ate out a lot. At least one night a week we ate at a little seafood restaurant in a strip mall not far from our house. The waitress was a big, tall gal and when she wasn't busy she'd sit with us and tell jokes. :-) The owners were the sweetest people and the food was delicious. They caught their own seafood so you know how fresh it was. Menu was on a chalkboard and always had cheese grits (the best), greens and lots of good stuff. The owner made the best crab bisque but she wouldn't share her recipe. :-(

They got so popular they moved to downtown Dunedin and it just isn't the same, but we still drop in and have lunch when we go down, and they still remember us.

This happened a number of years ago but I just love the story. I came in from golf one day and sat down to have lunch with some friends. The waiter asked me how my golf game was. I said 'My game was so bad, so bad. Do you want to know how bad it was Brian? It was so bad I'm going to have a glass of wine.' Now I never have an alcoholic beverage after golf. When the bill came, there was no wine on it so I called the waiter over and said Brian you forgot to put the wine on the check and he said 'No Mrs. T. I figure if your game was that bad, the wine is on the house.' Needless to say, that glass of wine cost me plenty because the tip was mighty big and I never forgot that moment.

patti, you brought back memories of living in Largo for a summer and going to Dunedin to eat lunch. and to find out I could go there and meet the shrimp boats and buy rock lobster right off the boats.

Cleaning them made my fingers bleed, but well worth it cause they were so good.

I have been going to our locally owned pharmacy since they opened years ago.........they are wonderful.
Free delivery, after hours phone #, fast, reliable service and they will meet prices for certain medications for the Walmart special deals...the $4 RX's and the 3 month supply for $10.
They also special order my prescription support hose and meet the price of the only pharmacy in the county that carries them in stock.
(Saves me a long drive and money, too.)
They always have cookies and coffee available, too.
