Water leak sensor -- good idea!

I have now learned the importance of having a water leak sensor (the hard way -- leaking water line to fridge on hardwood floor). I didn't know they made them for anything other than sump pumps or HWHs. Just found out that you can buy small (2 x 3 x 1" deep approx) battery powered ones at ACE hardware, Amazon, Lowe's, HD etc. for about $10 each (several different manufacturers). They run on a 9v battery and sound an alarm if water is detected (they do not go one step further and shut off the water -- that's what the Floodstop one does).

Thought I'd post this information to help save anyone else the hassle of going through an unnoticed flood. I now have them under my HWH and am putting one under the sinks, DW, fridge.
