Is this a good fix for a leak between the roof and side of a house?

This is a new construction and the roof and siding have just been put
on. I have a leak that seems to be caused by poor flashing where my
garage meets the house. Water is getting behind the siding and running
down to a window where it then enters the house.

I voiced my concern to the builder that the problem is two-fold and this is what I think happening:

Problem 1 - With the siding completely dry all the way up
the wall, water has to be getting behind the siding along where the garage
meets the house. It is then running between the sheathing and siding
until it gets to the top of the window.

Problem 2 – Water is entering the top of the window, then
running down the interior right side of the window frame.

Someone at the build site used sealant on an area
where the roof meets the side of the house in an attempt to fix the
issue. I have included pictures for reference.

Is this a legitimate fix?
