More FDLS Texas

A underaged Mother gave birth recently.

There is evidence that some of the boys have been sexually molested.

There are 41 children that show evidence of having had broken bones. The former FDLS Author said she has seen FDLS Babies kicked.

This is really getting bizarre! Main Man and I were trying to rationalize seeing abuse and not knowing right from wrong. It just doesn't float. If "something" or "someone" is in pain, you have to be compailed to put a stop to it.

Just Crazy!

Sick, ain't it.
It always amazes me how people use their faith in God and religion to justify rotten actions.
You were raised to KNOW what is truly right and wrong Gayle.
At one time I believe the men did know right from wrong but have twisted it all around, using God as an excuse, to suit their purposes.

A girl gave birth yesterday but won't verify her age.
She is listed as being fifteen but now she's insisting she's 18. Shortly after the children were removed and some women went with them the authorities had to confiscate all cell phones. Apparently the big brave menfolk of the FLDS were organizing the women from the safety of the complex.

I heard this evening that the girl who had the baby also has a 16 month old. Even if she is 18 now, she was definitely under age when she was pregnant with that one.

The report about broken bones didn't say if they were fresh or old, had been treated or not treated. If they aren't going to tell the whole story, I wish they wouldn't tell any of it until they have the facts. In any group of 400+ youngsters it might not be unusual to see 41 broken bones.

Here is a better angle picture that makes this mystery plant look more tree-ish than vine-ish. I am thinking maybe it is a young red mulberry (?).

I think when you've got several very young girls (12-17) who are pregnant or who already have children/babies that's proof of abuse. And where are the boys? They've been thrown out on the side of the road on their own so that the older "men" can have the girls for their own. This is a CULT (Warren Jeffs) and these women and their children have been brainwashed. It does look sad to see them on TV but they are willing and think that it is God's will that their daughters be given to these men and and their sons be thrown out on the streets. "Up to 1,000 teenage boys have been separated from their parents and thrown out of their communities by a polygamous sect to make more young women available for older men, Utah officials claim. Many of these "Lost Boys", some as young as 13, have simply been dumped on the side of the road in Arizona and Utah, by the leaders of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (FLDS), and told they will never see their families again or go to heaven." By kicking out the boys. The FLDS doesn't practice sex-selective abortion, nor does it recruit from outside the ranks. To reduce competition for wives, the church systematically expels adolescent boys, thus trimming the eligible male population. It's estimated that the FLDS has thrown out between 400 and 1,400 male members in the last decade. Church elders excommunicate boys as young as 14 ostensibly for bad behaviorÂlike flirting with girls, watching a movie, listening to rock music, drinking, playing basketball, or wearing short-sleeve shirts. Sometimes called the "Lost Boys," they're considered apostates and cut off entirely from their relatives. Parents or siblings who protest are sometimes asked to pack their bags as well. Girls have also been cast out of the church, but this happens much less often. Usually this punishment is reserved for women who don't wish to be part of a polygamous marriage. The sect also expels married men who violate religious tenets. After the wrongdoer leaves, the church leader reassigns his wives to loyalists. In theory, those who repent in earnest can be reunited with their families. In practice, almost no one is allowed back. I've seen stories on TV of these "Lost Boys" and Google Lost Boys and there are several links. What kind of father could do this to his sons? These men believe they sill be the god of their own planet so they must have several wives and many children to populate their own planet. The men abuse their wives and do leave bruises and abuse the children to keep the wives in line This is not happening just in Texas. Here is a link that might be useful: The Lost Boys

Thanks to all of you. I wish all of you could make the trip and just hang out. I am so inspired with all of the green and blooms. I grouted most of the day today, besides doing some more tiles and bricks for the crazy path phase III. I started the concrete frog that I made feet for, finished the strawberry pot, will seal it tomorrow, grouted a broken flowerpot I mosaiced, and working on a few things in the studio. I went to my storage trailer Monday and found an old windchime that the strings had rotted out and brought it home and am covering the wood clapper and top etc with mosaic and will string beads on the monofilament. I guess I think I need a little more bling in my life! I am also working on a metal vase that I found at a ys. Covering it with mosaic flowers from old china. I will do a pic later of WIP. Tomorrow, I have to go pick up a lot of flamingo pink tile that a remodeler is tearing out of an old house here. The meter reader girl told me about it so I went over there and he said I could have all I wanted. So, I see a Riana flamingo in my future. I can't think of a better way to use retro tiles. Besides, all that, I am not doing much...later, thank you all again. Carol

I heard on the evening news that there are 31 (I think that's correct) underage girls that are pregnant at this moment!

I think it's that there are underage girls who are either pregnant right now or who have already given birth to at least one child, and those underage girls total 31.

I was thinking about this last night after seeing news program in relation to this. Broken bones do happen to kids..doesn't mean that someone has beat them. Then again as bizarre as this is all turning out to be, maybe someone has. What I am saying is, it does happen. I broke my leg when I was 12..nobody was even close to me.

Another puzzling aspect of this, they said that there is a Dr. on the complex. My question is this. Does he/she not have to practice under the same rules as my doctor or your doctor? Doesn't sound like it to me! So in practicality, how can this person be a Dr?

You are right Lindsey.I wasn't paying too close attention when the story was being aired.Lately I have been blocking the news out of my head.LOL

"Does he/she not have to practice under the same rules as my doctor or your doctor? "

Probably not if he's paid enough or maybe brainwashed along with everyone else there! Some of the law officials were so it's possible the doctor was too.

41 broken bones out of 400 kids is one out of ten ... alot higher percentage than I think would be normal. Just going on how many kids I saw in casts when I was a kid (and I noticed because I was one of them in 4th grade), and how many I've seen in DD's schools over the years. ALOT fewer than 10%.

I sure hope the federal and state laws are strong enough and explicit to bring any abuses to an end.

Gayle, you said: "The former FDLS Author said she has seen FDLS Babies kicked. "

Who is the former FLDS Author?

By the way all, it's FLDS not FDLS.
