Well here's our's. It's still a work in progress, when we moved in to the house, there was an inch of plaster on the walls with a super bad texturizing job and it was painted baby sh*t brown. U.G.L.Y.!!! So it's a lot better now than it was. I think the color is SW Celery. We like it because it helps to make a super tiny room, more bright and open. I almost hate to post the pic cause it doesn't really do the color justice. I love limey greens and for me, this color was perfection!

We have two powders, one up and one down. The lighter one is 8222 Desert Fawn and the darker one is 8213 Plantation Beige. The brand of paint is Frazee which is a CA brand but the color wheel numbers seem to match BM. I don't know how different the undertones of their bases are to other brands. I generally haven't liked Frazee whites but these came out great. Both are very warm, day or night. I am not sure these are showing well on screen.

Another way is to go the Home Dec Forum page with the various thread topics. Down at the bottom of the screen below the page numbers is an option to switch to gallery or conversations. You can click on gallery and find listings of the various topics with colors, etc. Have fun looking.

Eliza, I also answered your question earlier. If you close this thread and look at the list of topics, not only is there a link at the bottom like Sujafr just said, but another at the top right of the list of threads.

But if you click on the words "Bathrooms thread in Gallery" in my post above, it will take you right to it. When the words are blue, they are a link. Just put your pointer on them and click.

Pattiem, yours has been my inspiration room since the first time I saw it. Do you mind sharing where you got the shelves over the toilet? I've been looking for shelves and can't find interesting ones.

My3dogs, later in the summer I hope to redo an upstairs bathroom and want to put up the wallpaper that looks like your beadboard. What height is your beadboard? I think I remember reading in a previous post that the ceiling height in your bath is less than 8'.

Hi 'art'!

In the downstairs 1/2 bath shown above, I wanted to work around existing light switches and the medicine cabinet, which were already up. I just measured in there and the top of the trim above the beadboard is 49". Ceiling height on my 1st floor is 7'8".

In the upstairs bath, I was replacing the original tongue and groove pine that was there when I bought the house, so duplicated its height. That one is 46 3/4" high at the top of the trim. Ceiling height upstairs is about 7'2". I wish the ceilings were higher, but it works in this old house.

Artlover, those shelves have always caused a stir! LOL I got them MANY moons ago on clearance from Bombay and had them hanging in the dining room of our last home in NY. When we sold, the buyers insisted that since they were hanging on the wall, they were "integral to the structure of the house" and had to stay. My stubborn Irish DH LOVES those shelves and flat out refused. The buyers threatened to walk over the shelves and I frantically got on the phone to Bombay's corporate office to beg them to find me another set to bring with us and pacify hubby. The woman I spoke to told me she never understood why those shelves had been such a short-term item as they were STILL getting requests for them. In the end, the buyers backed down, though at the closing the husband offered our attorney 500.00 if he could convince us to leave them (they were already on the truck-first things my husband packed!). I think you could come up with something very similar using wood shelving and either wrought iron plant hangers spray painted or a really nice corbel turned upside down-have the shelf hanging off the bottom instead of resting on top. It will end up looking custom and cost less too!

Our powder room is very small. At first I was hesitant to use such a dark paint color (S.W. foxfire), but the room has great light, so I took a chance. I'm glad I did.

I'm thinking upside down shelf hangers might work too. It's too bad Bombay went out of business. I really liked their things and they were reasonably priced, too.

Here's my downstairs bath that I recently re-did. Before it had really flowery Waverly wallpaper. The wallpaper is BM Clay and I love, love, love it with the New Venetian Gold granite. I did the adjacent kitchen in BM Brookline beige and I don't like it nearly as much.

I'm searching for something to go on this wall. Some sort of cool, wooden sign or object. I had thought of wall words, but since you are sitting on the commode looking at it, I thought against it. :)

This little table has been hanging around for ages, never finding a good home. I'm not sure it is exactly what I want here, I had hoped for something with lower shelves to put towels on.

oceanna, have I found anything I like? Are you kidding? ha! About 100 pics I LOVE!!!! I really like the limey-green colors, but not too bright-- soft and clean looking. Although, I'm still toying with being bold and doing Duron Dried Tobacco. It's a bronzey-dark color. Love it!

Also, let me solicit some advice to ALL of you--- if my small hallway off the powder room is a light golden tan, with the utility room across the hall in a light blue-green (perhaps BM Palladian Blue or BM Woodlawn Blue), what color do you think would compliment the laundry room since the powder and laundry room will be across from each other???????

In this pic, the perspective is off somewhat. It looks like our framed print there to the far left is hung too low . . . or that I'm 7' tall. Neither is true. I'm 5'6" tall, so I must have been holding the camera too high!

I had never seen one with the faucet on the side like that. It gives me wonderful ideas. I wish my dh felt like tackeling some of my diy's.
