Sending good thoughts for your DH.

Connie, a few weeks ago when the flu was making the rounds in this area, there was also a virus of some sort. It caused dizziness and light headedness.I had it. At first I thought I might have an inner ear infection. I didn't go to the doctor because when I moved around I got pretty dizzy and was afraid to drive. Later I found out some of my friends had the same thing. Whenever I turned my head, the room seemed to follow me around. It lasted a little more than a week.

That may not be your dh's problem, but it is something to consider. I hope he is going to be alright and it is not anything too serious. I'll keep y'all in my prayers.

I asked DH if he was dizzy at all. He said no its the light headedness and either before or after his heart races. They did check his ears also to make sure. He said its such a hard feeling to describe, he says something is just not right and we don't know what it is. Just don't want something bad to happen before they figure this out.

You have mine too Connie. I'd get to the town the Dr. is in and not wait, too. Stressing over it won't help at all. Prayers for DH and you.

I am sorry your DH isn't doing well. Heart stuff is so scary. It is good though that he did well with the stress test, that has to be a plus. I really hope that you are able to find out what is causing this and that he is feeling better real soon. Sending good thoughts, prayers and lots of hugs.

I will sure pray for your DH. Hope he gets some resolution soon and that it is minor. Docs never did figure out my DHs abdomen pain, which has returned. Wanna trade DHs?

I'm sorry to hear that. Very unpleasant to go through, as well as worrisome. I hope it's just Linda's virus.

Hubby used to go through panic attacks and it sounds similar to that. Have him breathe in and out of a paper lunch bag for a while. The change in carbon monoxide and settles the attack. We had a few trips to the hospital before he believed he was not dying. He would get spells of impending doom and his heart would race. Hope your hubby is fine and you get in early for an appointment. I am not a doctor of course but it is worth a try.

I'll be thinking of you both, Connie. Hopefully it's nothing serious, it'll be good to get into the cardiologist's office, though. At least they can rule out some things and maybe even fix whatever is bothering him.

I had an inner ear irritation once that made me feel awful by noon every day, weak, sick, dizzy, etc. The mornings were OK but as the day went on, I got worse and worse. Those kind of things are harder to diagnosis, I had to see 2 docs to get fixed. The first one wanted to blame it on nerves, even though I wasn't nervous about anything. lol So I'm hoping it's something minor like that, for your sweet hubby.

Did they give him a glucometer to check his sugar levels with? If they did, check his sugar when he is getting/having one of these spells. It could be his sugar spiking or dropping. Even if it isn't, it would rule that out.

With the wedding preperations, you sure don't need this to add to it. Could some of it be anxiety about the wedding? Something to think about.

I hope he's better soon and everything gets figured out.

DH and I were up to the doc this morning.

I don't know what we are going to do.
Dh got a 'script for Xanax.

His signs mimic those of panic attack; nothing to be ashamed of; merely a chemical imbalance. Xanax should help him fell much improved (although a bit sleepy!).

I will be keeping him and you in my special thoughts.

DH has always been an intense, worrier and about 4 years ago had started having some anxiety attacks. He takes a Lorazapam to help him sleep at night also.
The big problem is we have no health insurance. Doc is gone now til Tuesday and the Xanax did seem to help today. I think right now he will just hang on til the heart specialist appointment.
We will see what he says.

Connie, I'm sorry your DH is feeling so lousy. It is probably panic attacks from seeing the bills for the wedding!! All kidding aside, he will have to be fine with all this KT power being channeled his way and I'm adding my prayers and good thoughts also.

I am sorry about your husband and kind of know how he feels. I too am a "worry wart" as my mom used to say. Has he been drinking enough water? Could he be dehydrated? Try Gerber's pedilite--fruit flavor. I just finished some, and the Dr. said it is better that Gatorade and it does taste good.
I ended up in the hospital a couple of years ago, because of this. It could be the meds and because your Dr. is not available, talk to the pharmacist or go on line and review what side effects. Anyway, good luck and I know he will feel better.

Connie are there any state programs for folks with no health insurance? We are in the same boat but the FL Dept of Education has a Voc Rehab program that's wonderful. Make some calls. DH had a heart attack and a stroke and didn't know what was happening to him and never told me. Urrgh Men! Three stents later he's feeling much better. Now he has problems with fluid on both knees.

I wonder if some meditation might help or teaching him how to go to a happy place. I know it sounds corny but I go to my happy place (walk on the beach or a walk in the woods on a sunny winter's day) when life gets stressful or I can't fall asleep.

Nope on the water, we actually thought it might be the opposite, DH easily drinks 4-5 quarts of water per day since he had the bout with kidney stones last fall.
