Another prayer request

Some of you will probably remember my niece that I asked for prayer for some time ago.She had been through so many surgeries for Carcinoid tumors.She has been doing really well until now.They did a PET scan on her a few days ago and found a spot in her rectum.Her doctor is worried about it and will do a biopsy next week.Please keep her in your prayers.Thanks

Good news! Rick is going home from the hospital today. I got to speak with him last night, and he sounded great. He said he feels better than he has in a long time, his pain is greatly diminished, and he rarely has to take pain meds. He's been in pain for a while, but the doctor (not the one that discovered the tumor) said it was arthritis and put him on high dose Ibuprophen. He doesn't have to take that now. Yeah! Sally

Connie are there any state programs for folks with no health insurance? We are in the same boat but the FL Dept of Education has a Voc Rehab program that's wonderful. Make some calls. DH had a heart attack and a stroke and didn't know what was happening to him and never told me. Urrgh Men! Three stents later he's feeling much better. Now he has problems with fluid on both knees. I wonder if some meditation might help or teaching him how to go to a happy place. I know it sounds corny but I go to my happy place (walk on the beach or a walk in the woods on a sunny winter's day) when life gets stressful or I can't fall asleep. Good thoughts and prayers coming your way. I hope there is an easy fix for his problems.

I am so glad I didn't get this email from her before Austin got better. I would have had a nervous breakdown! This little guy has it alot worse than Autin. Austin is coming home tomorrow. We thought he would come home today but his back was still tender in one spot and the doctor wanted to keep an eye on it for one more day. They had to re-do his IV last night and now it's in his arm with a board taped to it so it's stiff. He can't bend his little arm and he is mad about it! I can't wait for tomorrow when he is home!
