Glenda, here in KCMO, it snowed this morning for about 30 minutes, then sleeted for about 10. The wind has been blowing from 15-25 mph, making the actual 41-degree temp. feel more like 20 degrees. This wind is a demon!

Everyone has covered their beautiful magnolia bushes, trying to keep them from freezing tonight. It's predicted to be 30 degrees by morning! We are 20+ degrees below normal temps for this time of year, for our area.

77 outside right now, today was 89 LOVE IT! but we will be getting cooler, down to 45 mon & tue nights and 70 during the day :-( i ALMOST did not need my electric blanket last night lol it was also 77 last night. but dogs and dh needed a/c so i used it. i can't stand to not be warm... ~ liz

Well it was a balmy 73 degrees here in Kamloops, British Columbia; absolutely lovely. Just came in from watering all my flowers. Tomorrow I am taking a load of stuff to the outdoor market -
definitely Spring up here, I apologize to those of you still looking at white stuff.

It was over 90 here today and it is still 80 in the house even though the windows have been open all day. I rarely miss air conditioning but I think I would enjoy during our heat wave.
It was too hot to plant my tomatoes, egg plant and peppers today.

I always hate to hear Glenda is going to have bad weather because it means we'll be getting it here a day or two after her. Gorgeous today--high 80's but by Monday morning we're supposed to have 45 or 39--depending on what you read.

Yesterday, the northern half of Wisconsin had a blizzard: 7 inches of snow and 60 mph wind. In the south half, temps were in the 40s F yesterday and fell into the 30s F today. Two inches of rain has accumulated over the past 24 hous. The weatherman predicts temps to rise to the 50s next week. Folks, this is springtime in Wisconsin!

The robins are looking stupid and hungry. Canadian geese have arrived and don't know which way to fly, north or south. Whooping cranes did arrive 2 weeks ago, but have fallen silent. Two weeks ago I heard the baying of coyotes. They have been silent. I suppect their den site has been flooded. It was at the edge of a marsh.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL in Oregon. We had our warmest day yet today. Everyone was so happy! I think it was in the 80s. We opened our windows for the first time in 6 months.

Today (Saturdya) was sunny and got up to 55 degrees. But Friday morning I awoke to 6-inches of new snow.

Yesterday (Saturday) was in the mid-70's. It was in the 60's in the AM, which was a lovely start to the day. Today is another story. Barely 40 this AM and not looking to warm up much later on. The garden is tilled and raked, plots laid out, and seeds ready to go. I'm hoping to plant the snow peas, lettuce, chard, and scallions later on today. Potatoes will go in mid-week.

Cold here today. It's 32° at 8:17 AM. It got down to 30° last night. I hope, with my magnolia buds still not being open at all, that they'll still be okay, and open in a couple more weeks.
