I have never made one of these before...and with the cost, may not again for a long time! LOL "/ Our neighbor girl (all the kids grew up together) is expecting her first. They are having a baby shower for her on Sunday, so I thought this would be fun! Really hard to get pics tho...looks much better (not so 'cluttered') and more like a tiered cake in real!

Happy Opposite Day, everyone! It's finally here and all of the packages have been received. I think that makes it a good day (... or do I say a bad day?) The creativity in this swap was outstanding! I hope we get to do this swap again one year. I think some of us may look for some other weird days to celebrate for future swaps. I haven't done a bit of winter sowing this year so I hope my back allows for that soon. Of course, it has been extra cold here lately so I might now want to be out there anyway. Do some of you prepare your winter sowing containers indoors and then move them outside once they are planted? I've done that if I want to plant them on a really cold day. Of course, bringing the soil inside is kind of a mess! Usually I just prepare everything in the garage and then move the containers so they are totally outside. Thanks, everyone, for participating. Sharon, I'm glad you are starting to feel better and your package arrived okay. It won't be long and the February swap will begin. Of course, keep chatting here if you like. That is so cute!!! I am planning a shower for my niece and I want to make a diaper cake to use as a center piece. She is having complications and one doc said the end of February and another the middle of March, soooooooooo I decided to have the shower after the baby arrives. She is really tired and stays in bed most of the time and I told her I think the baby will love coming to his own shower. Congrats on the new baby!!!!! Rosa

Wow you really stuffed that one with goodies.

At my first baby shower my friend made one (she's very creative) and it looked like a real mini wedding cake (3 white tiers). I saw a sheet cake on the table and I wondered why they had two cakes!

Came in handy after Olivia arrived!!

My nieces made my youngest DD one for her last baby. The diapers alone are expensive, and you really added to it. Good job Sandy.

LOL Flamey...probably 3 or 4! But this is to a good friend of ours...so I don't really mind it. This was an after thought, I already have her baby boy blanket made! I gave her sister one of my cross stitched blankets when she had her first, and I told them then I do that only for the first born! LOL I couldn't renege on that! I do know that it will all be used and appreciated tho.
