Diaper Cake

I have never made one of these before...and with the cost, may not again for a long time! LOL "/ Our neighbor girl (all the kids grew up together) is expecting her first. They are having a baby shower for her on Sunday, so I thought this would be fun! Really hard to get pics tho...looks much better (not so 'cluttered') and more like a tiered cake in real!

Sandy, that is cute, but I can tell you have quite a bit of money invested as well as time. You did a good job.

Baby Carriage Diaper Cake

is this a diaper cake in the shape of a baby carriage? I have never seen instructions for this one. I googled and found this pic and ingredients - I imagine it is just a matter of stacking the diapers to the right shape, just like a normal diaper cake http://www.bamababiesandbirthdays.com/baby_carriage_diaper_cakes.htm looks like two bibs is the hood, and a ruffle of large lace is added to the ribbon, uses rolled burp pad wheels. Not sure how all is fastened together though with such an odd shape. you could pin or glue, but some of the diapers may become unusable. The third bib may be under the toy. cannot tell if the diapers underneath are stacked or rolled. I guess I have posted too many picture this month so now they are being held hostage by photobucket. I don't have time now to fix the issue but I guess they will reappear at some point in time. Meanwhile I want to thank everyone for your congratulations and formyou compliments. As I held my grandaughter today, I was thinking of that day 29 years ago that I first held her mother. Wow you really stuffed that one with goodies.

At my first baby shower my friend made one (she's very creative) and it looked like a real mini wedding cake (3 white tiers). I saw a sheet cake on the table and I wondered why they had two cakes!

Came in handy after Olivia arrived!!

My nieces made my youngest DD one for her last baby. The diapers alone are expensive, and you really added to it. Good job Sandy.

LOL Flamey...probably 3 or 4! But this is to a good friend of ours...so I don't really mind it. This was an after thought, I already have her baby boy blanket made! I gave her sister one of my cross stitched blankets when she had her first, and I told them then I do that only for the first born! LOL I couldn't renege on that! I do know that it will all be used and appreciated tho.
