No, but when I was on vacation I bought a knitted hen over a large egg and crocheted triangles covered smaller eggs...making it a set. Cute! I am using it but I want to try and make some maybe for next year. There maybe a pattern out there but I can follow these for me. HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!! Grama

My Mom always does Easter...I'm sure I'll bring a dish of some sort. Last year I made some of those colored deviled eggs! The kids (and adults) all thought it was fun. Here are the instructions: I peeled mine and then cut in half and removed the yolk before dying, although you can dye the entire egg if you like. To have colored deviled eggs, fill a cup with 1/2 cup cold water and add 2-3 drops of food coloring--you will need a different cup for each color of egg. Place the peeled, hard cooked egg into the cup and let sit for 20-30 minutes. Remove when whites have reached desired colored intensity. Proceed to make deviled eggs using your own favorite recipe. We always exchange gifts at Easter. Usually a plant that can be later planted. Easter lilies are popular. But we have given trees that were planted and still growing. I went to a craft fair in early spring with my sister 25 years ago and bought her a tray for deviled eggs. Every year since then I have bought her an egg dish for Easter. She called me the end of March and said enough! I have 30 eggs dishes. I made trays of cookies for friends, grew these funny 'egg' plants for kids in my life, and made little carrots for others. Maybe it is just a family tradition.

This quilt shall end up on an old Victorian iron bedstead. The pattern is Roberta's Jewels and it's the September Lotto block, also done in scrappy. If anyone wants an idea on what that jackpot shall look like if they win it, you got an idea. Now I have to make three more of them to enter into the September lotto. This particular jewel block really amounts to four Buckeye Beauty blocks, and the next one I'll make is off that pattern instead so I don't have to work with two inch pieces. It'll make the design four times as large, but I'm more than OK with that. No Marsha, it wasn't boring at all. I think I enjoyed making this block more than any I can think of. I just paced myself to one or two a day. I thought Kate's choice of blocks this year were just perfect and I've enjoyed all of them so far. Thanks for the compliments, guys. It's not the best work in the world, but will work for its intended use. If you have leaders and enders, this is the one to use it on! It's also a perfect venue for strip quilting method. I promise you it eats up scrap better than any quilt I ever made. I emptied out half a big plastic bin of material on this one too large to toss and too small to use on a lot of other things.
