What would it cost you to go to your nearest Kentucky Fried Chicken and order to take out

A 2 pc.chicken snack(white meat only),c/w fries,a 3 Tbsp coleslaw and a small gravey?

Just curious of the price in different parts of the world

I don't know the price of that, but we stopped there a couple days ago and had a coupon for the "3 strips meal" for $3.99. The was 3 chicken strips, potatoes and gravy and a biscuit. Sorry I don't know the regular price.

I don't know what the price for that would be. The last time I ate at KFC was last week and our daughter bought for me. We got the 8 piece bucket with two sides and biscuits and these were nice sized tubs. We got mashed potatoes, white gravy and cole slaw. If I am not mistaken it was either $8.99 or $9.99. We don't go that often as there isn't one close to us. I am sure someone out there will be able to give you a price. If I should happen next week to get to one I will check the price.

Posted by deeageaux The appliance engineer I talked when I visited the Capital Factory in Santa Fe Springs Ca. It is very surprising that someone of that level of education would say that. Engineers always seem to be into the specifics. There are so many differences between types of open and sealed burners, I can't imagine someone making such a broad generalization. At low and moderate heat there is almost no difference between open and sealed burners. If you have the burners wide open, you will get some additional flare on the sealed burners due to the burner cap but this varies widely depending on how they are engineered. It is true in most situations according to him unless the pan is extremely large and able to capture the heat shooting off the sides. I am amazed that he hasn't considered that the flames are adjustable. Maybe he doesn't cook so doesn't realize one of the first things you learn in cooking is to adjust the heat so the flame is under the pan. Open or sealed, the flame can be too big for the pan. This is one reason that CC has come up with the simmer/small pan burner as Wolf has. Other manufacturers vary the size of burners allowing the user to match pan to burner a little better. You might find some of the bigger open burners have a flame bigger in diameter than some sealed burners. I have seen people that do just turn the burner on high but that is user error and would apply on both open and sealed burners. Even the height of the grates can affect the efficiency of the burners. It helps to talk in generalities and what most types of pans people use. Not some extreme outlier. You need specifics. What does he mean by "extremely large" What do you mean by "extreme outlier"? I can use a ten inch frying pan on my sealed burner, on high heat and the flame is under the pan base which is 8 inches across. I actually consider the ten inch pan small. To make a statement as he did you would need to have some supporting data obtained from measuring heat loss or maybe measuring heat utilized. It would be a massive, expensive study and have to consider a lot of variables. If you read any threads about cookware, I would hate to guess what most people use. You would have to guess size, shape, material, weight, etc. All these factors then contribute to the efficiency of heat to food. Your idea of an outlier might be what I use everyday and vice versa.

I do some freelance work as a historic homes color consultant. My neighbor and I chose colors and he painted his foursquare red with ivory trim - he has a black roof, it looks great. I'm painting my home olive with gold trim to contrast with his. They are a great pair of old houses that have definitely inspired others in the neighborhood. Id recommend NOT using the same color on the roof as anywhere else on the house. if you use red as the body, choose a non-red color for the roof (perhaps a deep deep green - it looks GREAT). And be careful of the shade of red you choose - Another neighbor replaced her original faded red standing seam roof with a new aluminum one in fire-truck red. it was not great, but I thought, at least she chose the "same kind" of roof. Then she painted all the trim RED - it looks like a KFC. Its horrible and an embarrassment to the neighborhood. Look thru Moss's exterior color books - he's the best man to research when it comes to exterior colors on historic homes. And please don't paint your house lavender with a red roof - just, please, don't

Heat the olive oil in a medium sautÃ¯Â¿Â½ pan. Add the onions, thyme, salt, and pepper and cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, for 8 to 10 minutes, until the onions are translucent but not brown. Off the heat, add the Worcestershire sauce, chicken stock, and tomato paste. Allow to cool slightly. In a large bowl, combine the ground chuck, onion mixture, bread crumbs, and eggs, and mix lightly with a fork. DonÃ¯Â¿Â½t mash or the meatloaf will be dense. Vee, you haven't missed much from never eating in a McDonald's, KFC, etc. The draw to such places is, I think, the predictability -- you know pretty much what you are getting when you enter such establishments, no matter that it's cardboard food, in both taste and detritus. However, there are subtle differences in predictability in such franchises, from nation to nation especially, but also from state to state in the US, sometimes. A Maine McDonald's will sell their local favorite, the lobster roll, while an Oklahoma McDonald's will have, say, a special barbecue pork (boneless) riblet sandwich. In the opposite place these sandwiches would languish and wouldn't stay on the menu. The rubbish angle: Well, at least the old-fashioned fish 'n' chips shops recycled out-of-date newspapers. But I wonder about the ingestion of newsprint ink; didn't some of it dissolve and get onto the food? I once saw a blubberburger on a menu in Alaska, but I didn't try it because I was afraid that it would contain exactly that: whale blubber. Scotch Eggs in the US used to be more common than nowadays. They were often a staple of school cafeterias, which generally meant poorly prepared and tasteless. Only about one kid in five really enjoyed the things; the rest grumbled and tore off the sausage part and mashed the egg part into mush so that it would look like they had at least tried to eat it. As with anything that gets a poor reputation, the Scotch egg lost favor, I'm afraid, in the US. Wow, that is cheap compared to here.
I don't take out that often at KFC.

The bucket is $30.00

And then there are the different meals one.

The 10 piece one you get two different medium salads, small gravy for $26.99 or more.

Can't rememember what the small meals are.

I remember when we used to buy growing up, I would go with my dad and we would get the bucket of chicken and they always had put buns on underneath the lid so they would be nice and warm from the hot steam from chicken. Then large gravy and fries and coleslaw. All for $5.00.

Now its $30.00 plus.

Oh, yes, this is in Canada.

I just know that on Toonie Tuesdays here, you can get two pieces of chicken and fries for $2.00.

lol..yes Susan I know....and its' $2.99 here where I am..BUT that is dark meat only.

For the 2 pc dinner,white meat,which is only a couple of rib breasts,the small gravey and the 1/2 a small persons handful of fries, with the little coleslaw was $10.15....I just emailed the company took their survey,and told them what I thought.
After all,for $10.15,I could have bought the whole bird!

You know, I don't even know if KFC here in Indiana even sells fries? I will sure find out the next trip there, which may not be for awhile. The price I quoted was for dark meat, my favorite and it was the original crust not the extra crispy.

WTH Ron, for that price, you could've not only had the whole bird, but could've raised your own much cheaper. I'm glad you gave them your 2 cents worth...not that you had any cash left after that highway robbery. :(

Our KFCs here don't offer fries either. They have recently been advertising a bucket of mixed (dark & white) for $8.99.

Yes, I thought it was $8.99 when I posted but wasn't sure. That came with choice of two sides and several biscuits. I am pretty sure I have never seen fries at KFC either. But since I don't go that often I was not sure.

They used to have an afternoon "buffet" that was a good price and I wanted to go there but I'm not sure if they do it anymore. Not many close by and it's been a lot of years since I was there. They're not cheap, but a lot of places aren't. I did enjoy the original best. It's where I learned to appreciate cole slaw! But that was many many years ago now too.

what annyos me is that ad where the mom and kids say if we can beat the price by making it at home... go out pricing things and of course go over the $10...but they were buying a whole bag of flour, whole jars of spice...

Another Ontario person here. I don't think it's all that cheap here either. We don't buy it as no one seems to like it. I use to have the Toonie Tuesday (which is $2.79 here) every now and then but not so much anymore. It hasn't been the same since they took away the trans fat. LOL

Which reminds me I heard recently that KFC is not allowed to call their "meat" chicken anymore because of how it's raised. I was told that even on their menu's it's not called "chicken" but KFC. Which leads me to wonder, if it's not chicken then what the he-- is it?

Hubby verified this so it must be true as and knows everything. LOL (I call him Cliff Claven)

Oh and I heard on the news that KFC is going to offer grilled KFC.

I need to google to find out exactly what they Kentucky Fry.

The KFC in the shopping center down the road from us closed up about 2 weeks ago. They weren't getting enough business.

We have had the grilled for a long time. It is pretty good. Also they do have the buffets. I haven't been in to eat inside for probably a year or more. It was pretty good too.

Glad you caught the hoax! ;) I keep telling people to remember the "slider joint" called their product "White Castles". (gag)

I was reading in a business magazine not too long ago that KFC was going to go back to Kentucky Fried Chicken. Bring back the old logos and revive the Colonel on packaging at least. But who knows until they do it.
