I know you are interested in daylilies, but for now I am trying to verify with certainty the names and labeling them....then I'll be all set up to do some late summer trades hopefully. Isn't this dial-up just so wonderful-NOT!!! Yesterday I was able to make 2 posts and that was it. My line is so bad that I no longer even try to let it download to Incredimail. I have a reply in there I composed a week ago, that has not sent yet. On a really good day, I can get into Hotmail, and read some...and mostly delete what is not important without looking at it. The local broadband co has me on the list to do a site evaluation, to see if they can get me service since extending some towers and adding some equipment. Worst case scenario, I will have a $500 50' pole set beside the house...if that is what it will take. I may just have to do myself a favor and pay through the nose for decent fast service. I recently tried Wild Blue satellite service. What a disaster...out of service for 10 days out of the first 20. I'm returning the equipment, and I imagine it might go to a court battle over the 12 month contract I signed, which I do not intend to pay. They claimed to have tech support 24/7, but after waiting on hold for an hour, more than one with no answer, I did not consider they had 24/7 service. I was told it would take 10 days for a repairman to get here to fix 10 day old equipment under warranty. They clearly do not have the manpower in my area to maintain equipment in a timely fashion. Who wants internet service 50 percent of the time? Not me. Sue

For personal email, I am using an old copy of Netscape ver. 4.7. It's no good for browsing anymore because it does not support newer features and calls in the later versions of Windows, but it works great as an email utility. You can browse the internet with Internet Explorer and bring up Netscape when you need to access email. Both Netscape and IE will run simultaneously without interferring with each other. Just make sure that for the first time Netscape runs and the panel pops up, "do you want to make Netscape your default brouser", you answer, "No". IE will remain the default and Netscape will be secondary. You can start and stop Netscape at any time as needed while IE remains connected on-line. I use IE to log into my ISP's mail server to read and manage my mail on the mail server, but when I want to download emails to my computer, I fire up Netscape to do this. In this way, I can purge my email of spam and any messages that I do not want to keep, then download only the "keepers".

Our daughter had the Alltel internet service and she didn't like it....kept getting disconnected. What we did, was drop our landlines and got wireless internet service. All I needed on my computer was a network card. I have a small antenna on my roof, it plugs into the network card, or in my case, into my router and I can have my 3 computers online at once. We now have 2 cell phones, faster wireless internet and saving about $40 a month. (we had 3 phone lines + my cell phone). and we had our home phone numbers ported to our cell phones.

As Bob said, a check in never dial a connection, and if you see Earthlink there, remove it. I found Earthlink in the registry 6 months after I used the add/remove to uninstall. The way I found these was with RegSeeker, 'Find in registry' & 'Search for' and typed in Earthlink. or if you wanted, start/run/regedit/edit/find/type>earthlink
