Need help with a light 'celery' green for exterior

I am in the middle of painting the exterior of my house and am having a hard time getting the right green.,

I am stuck with a brickish red roof...and since my house is a tudor you see a lot of it. The shutters and doors are BM Cottage red, and the trim is cream.

The green is hard. I have a color that I matched off someone else's house but it's not working on mine. It's too muddy next to the roof so need something brighter.

I tried BM Hancock Green and it's too ligght. The next color on the strip is Guilford Green. I also tried Apple Blossom and it's too green. The next color is Sweet Caroline. Anyone have experience with these two colors?

Yeah, the greens you're looking at come across as more mint in color on my monitor. You may want to try BM Georgian Green, when I do a mock up of our house with that color along with brick red shutters, I like the way the green looks with the red. I'm hesitant to post this cause we haven't done any landscape (yet) so please ignore that part.

I was just checking out a loft over at Apartment Therapy and the owner had used a soft green color that could be what you're looking for. I've linked it below. She identified the color as Benjamin Moore's Sienna Laurel. You can click on her House Tour to see more pictures of it.

I've personally sampled a color by Glidden, Spring Cactus, that is a soft green, but muted in a good way. I really liked it, especially paired with the darker Safari Green. I've also sampled three other pale greens, Olympic's Lemon Mint and Valspar's Grasshopper and Gleeful. The Lemon Mint color is the greener of the three. Gleeful looked like it would be too intense. And one more suggestion that I haven't personally tried but see a lot of people recommend and that is Ryegrass by Sherwin Williams.

Based on the shape of the flowers, I'm betting on Kyllinga vs. Nutsedge. Either way, it's not something you want in your turf. I've never Kyllinga myself, but I'm sure someone can give you advice on how to eradicate it.

Maybe you already have the perfect color on the siding and only need to change the colors of the trim. Sage green shutters and a red front door, with the red tilting towards orange, not blue so that it blends with the yellow-brown of the bricks. OR, Maybe a shade of gray for the siding that tilts toward brown, which I guess would be a taupe color.

At your favorite paint store you should find an exterior color card. Not the small chips but a brochure sized card that shows exterior color schemes. Look for the 3 or 4 color scheme that has green for the shutters and a deep beige/taupe/clay color for the siding. Your roof is the "shutters" part of the scheme. Good luck!

Have you tried doing Dry Sage 50%? It will be the same color tone but lighter. On my house my trim was SW River Birch - a gray taupe color. I needed to paint my stucco and wanted a lighter gray and rather than going through a gazillion samples trying to find the right light gray, I did SW River Birch at 25% and it was perfect. SW should even be able to mix a BM color for you if you want to get their sample pots - they're cheaper than BM quarts!

georgie - Can you post a picture of your house? I'm just not sure about the red/green combination, but it would help to see your actual house.

I don't know what color they used, but look at the green house on canadianmag's post. If you like it, maybe someone can come up with a similar color.
