does anyone have a pic of the Marble Tree?

Remember "Say What Agnes" tree that she tied half marbles all over.

My son backed over my red maple tree and I don't think it will ever recover...So...if it doesn't I want to make one of them...it's just the right size. But I'd like to have a picture of her's so I can show my unbelieving husband what it looks like....lol

I think I'll post at garden junk too.

No Photos yet! :>( This is becoming the gall darn reno from H***! Am hoping to nag- I mean convince DH to get walls taped and plastered today- so then I can prime and Cultured Marble guy can come in to do final measure. I am so ready to have this bathroom done! We do have a working toilet and floor down- yeah- but DS arrives home tomorrow, and I guess he'll be showering upstairs (again!:>). Maybe, just maybe he'll have a shower before he heads back to college! (In two weeks). Would love to pick a paint colour, but as shower base is NOT the colour we picked- am waiting till the walls are in, and then will paint (would have preferred doing the painting first) According to CM guy, walls will be waterproof, priming is to cover the blue board so colour doesn't show through marble. Muscat, what is the trim around your surround? Looks very nice!

Fishies- I think you're right, but I'm trying to minimize the damage, so I thought the small island might get less abuse. We'll see... Boxerpups- Beautiful pictures, as always! My blue Arborite is no more and the one place in the city nearby, didn't even know what Arborite was! So, I don't think they'll be having any sales on display models. Does anyone have pics of painted Island with stained perimeter?

I struggled with this exact same dilema. Most of the two tone kitchens have light perimeter and dark island. The style of my house and surrounding furniture does not really support the look of so much light cabinetry. But I also didn't want an all dark cabinet kitchen. I began searching desperately for pictures in magazines and as I looked I began to find a few and they were beautiful! Then Sharon1 posted pictures of her kitchen and she had the exact same color scheme I had just ordered and I thought it was gorgeous! It was a huge load off my back. My perimeter is a dark stain rustic beech and my island is a creamy glaze. I haven't picked countertops yet - I don't know what I want to do yet. I think the reason you see my light perimeters is that it keeps the kitchen light and airy and a dark island looks more like a piece of furniture. Flipping it is less common, but it is still beautiful. I wish I had pictures, but I'm a DIY project under construction! :-) I also searched for Sharon1 and all her pictures fell of the forum, which is a bummer. I couldn't find her in the FKB either - she must not have posted there. I'm sorry to not be more help visually. But hopefully I've reassured you that many of us have done the very color scheme you are considering!

I love that, I had never seen that forum before either. I am going to check it out more often to see the new stuff they come up with.

Rhonda...I have sent packages, cards and dozens of emails and haven't heard back.

I've wondered if she is okay.

I'd sure like to know.

I really enjoyed having her as a "cyber" friend and would love to have met her in person.

oh, no, Raven! You haven't seen Garden Junk yet? lol Even I have posted over there! lol not much. There are some interesting ideas over there. But a lot of bowling ball, glass totems and bottle trees, which I am NOT in to. But there is some cool stuff!

oh, and if you want to see some more cool stuff... check out the Mosaic site. I haven't been there in almost a year though, so maybe I'll go check that out now! lol

there was another forum that was kind of like Garden Junk...but I can't remember the name...and I'm not sure if it is still around...

Maybe named something like front porch, country gardening, or maybe french gardening...I'm just guessing here...lol
