Down to the final details - what do you gals think?

Okay - we're almost done with decision making. Here it is for your approval :)

Inset, white cabinets with mostly drawers and three uppers; kitchen has lots of windows on three sides overlooking garden; perimeter countertop material is cambrian black antique; large center island will have a beautiful dark green granite called "verde fantastico"; base of island will be stained oak (I thought the base of the island with the wood floors and white cabs would contrast beautifully; floors quartersawn white oak; 36" wolf DF; miele excella DW; SZ 36" refrigerator; 36" pantry pullout. I anticipate pulls and knobs to be simple and minimalist as the granite on island is really the star.

Two uncertainties (1) faucet! the kitchen is a mix of contemporary and tradional (cabs mostly) and I'm not yet "feeling" the faucet (2) my DH is being swayed by a sample of red oak our contractor brought by and wants that instead of the white oak. I would love your feedback on the overall look and welcome any suggestions. Thanks!
