Pebble stone shower floor
Comments (43)I installed a sea glass tile floor in our shower like the river stone pebbles. I was told the glass wouldn't get slippery like the natural stone might get because they retain the moisture. it is very pretty, but the glass pebbles are cracking for no apparent reason and continue to crack. I am guessing it is because the room temperature is cool and when the hot water hits the shower floor the glass expands and cracks. has anyone had this problem and what are the recommendations for replacing the glass tile. it seems it would be hard to do....See MorePlease help - If you have Pebble Sheen I need your advice
Comments (18)We also have Blue Granite PS. So far, it hasn't seemed too rough. As for the color, ours is still turning bluer. We have had water in the pool for approximately 6 weeks. It started out very green and has slowly been changing to the blue that we were expecting. From what I have heard, the kind of water you use to put in your pool will definitely affect the color also....See MoreRedoing product like Pebble Sheen
Comments (20)Chiefneil, I almost did the Ocean Blue - it was my first choice. Then I decided on the black. Your pool is beautiful as are the surroundings. We are trying to use up the rest of our yard so there is only grass where the dogs are. We have a 16' easement so we can't have anything down that is permanent unless we want it torn up on the chance they ever need to dig. It looks like you have some sort of pavers that aren't grouted? Is that right? I like them b/c they don't look like the average pavers - also like the gravel. Fauxnecian, Thanks for the compliment! I formulated the design in my head for months and knew when I was finished - that is when we built. My husband has little interest in design and lets me run with it so that is fun for me! I'm sure your pool is not average! What pool is, really?? It is a pool in YOUR yard - that is the best part. G2gardens Stonescapes looks great - I know you are excited for yours! Our pool is very small and filled quickly so we were in it that evening (of the day they acid washed it.) We just spashed around and didn't put our heads under to actually swim, but what a feeling to be in the pool finally!! We hope to be able to wait until winter to drain and start over again - you are right though - bummer to start all over. We are thinking of asking the pool company to redo in the Sheen. Lindsey ca mentioned that if we didn't sign a change order (which we didn't), then legally they should do what the orginal contract stated, which was the Sheen. Lisa sandiego, how long of a process was that for you? Sorry you had to endure it b/c I know it can't be fun. I'm guessing it is in my future too....See MoreQuestion for BARCO (and anyone who has StoneScapes)
Comments (18)Mine was that "am I going to regret plain white plaster" thread and I think some folks who had had both did say they were the same. Barco is right - Stonescapes is cheaper - PebbleTech would have cost an extra $1500. My PB told me it was essentially the same - the pebbles all come from the same factory, the main difference was that PebbleTech really police their installers, which I'm sure is why they have such a great reputation and so many thrilled custmers. However, the StonesScapes rep couldn't have been nicer and more concerned when I spoke to him. Unfortunately, his hands were tied, as to get him out to look at the pool, I first had to go through my PB company (the GM told me he'd been told by the pool start-up guy that I had the best plaster he'd ever seen!), then the plaster company (who came out without telling me and removed "a tiny little leaf" that was stuck in the plaster and was causing the rough spot I spoke about). I was pretty mad about it so the GM has agreed to meet me tomorrow with the StoneScape rep. I was worried that maybe I was being too much of a perfectionist, and I would get the same sneers, and looks of astonishment that I have had from the PB before when thing weren't right (and there have been many!). Anyway, if they say it's okay, I'll live with it. My pool is beautiful, and when the waterfall is running you can't see it anyway. Gina - I do think you are right about them wanting to do the right thing, and I'll certainly sing their praises every chance I get when this is resolved. Also, that is so great that PebbleTech fixed your spot and saved your water. I must remember to ask them to save mine too - I haven't even had the water bill for the fill-up yet and I certainly didn't want to do that again!...See Moreajones
