Exposed Aggregate Concrete Wall with Waterfall?
Comments (6)No, it's not enough room unless your serviceman is a midget. It will also be likely to flood in a heavy rain. The motors don't like being submerged, even partially. The foam insulation will get wet and mold/mildew will form in places you can't get at. I don't like saying it but I have to. IMHO, sinking it into the ground, surrounded by concrete is not a good idea. There are a number of custom skinning products that can be used if you don't like the look of the side panels on the spa and want something that better matches the decor and color schemes you like for your backyard paradise. Happy Easter! Scott...See MoreDo I really have to buy a 'waterfall pump' for my waterfall?
Comments (4)A waterfall pump is designed to move a large voulme of water with little resistance (low head). A pool pump moves low to medium amounts of water against a high head. However, with that said, I use a Pentair 2HP Whisperflow (high flow, medium head) for my waterfalls and I have not had any signs of problems. I have two 36" shear descents and a fountain which require around 90-100gpm....See MoreRecommended height for sheer descent?
Comments (8)At least 24" for a unit that wide. When I install those features, I try to keep the raised beam height around 75% of the width of the unit. With that said though, I have never installed a unit larger than a 4'. If the unit gets too high, the "sheet" of water will be more likely to split with even the slightest breeze. FYI, You can order those units in different colors of PVC (gray, tan, or even stainless steel) that will make the PVC body less visable. If you are installing a salt system however, it is not recommended to use the stainless steel units. Good Luck!...See MoreSheer Descent vs. Scuppers
Comments (4)Thanks Dude !! I wanted a natural/lagoon look for my pool so I went with all natural solid stone on the coping, beam wall and steps. Went with pebbletec Tahoe Blue all the way to the coping (no waterline tile)Pentair all the way with a SWG,Easytouch w/wireless remote,3' to 6'5" deep and about 22,000 gallons, sand filter, whisperflo for filter, superflo for water feature, and Challenger pump for the Legend cleaner. I couldn't believe how effortless my pool was to maintain and clean my first year..only hope it goes this easy next year. I have watched your pool build and it looks really cool..keep up with the photos. btw...The Big L is one of my all time favorite movies...See Morelorriekay
