Thanks for the paper pattern idea to play around with. My hands aren't as much a worry as my back. Unfortunitly most of the pavers are cut-and at angles besides!! These could be leftovers, mistakes and scraps because there aren't that many not cut and there are alot of little pieces. Seems there is enough of squares and rectangles to border a little path. Many have had corners cut off and some are varying romboudal shapes and triangles etc. At least half of the octagonal/squares have had the octagonal end cut to flush up with the opposing pieces square end. This leads me to place them flush with the borders going the long way. My first idea with the angles didn't work out but I have another after sorting better. As I put similar angles together I got a better idea of what can maybe work with the direction the angles are going. By putting a couple of bands of border peices across the middle, I'll be able to use more of the cut ends to flush up against them. I need to turn a corner and might be able to figure something out. I'm going to blend it into a slate path as it finishes turning the corner. Maybe I could recut some to make things more workable. Anybody have experience with cutting these things? Could we rent something and how hard is it to get the hang of it? I enjoy thr challenge of solving a giant puzzle, but it's going to eat hours of valuable holiday prep time....wish I could leave it until afterwards but you gotta get things when you find them and all those little piles of different shapes would just be too much trouble to set aside.

If you are trying to squeeze tears from every little penny, does the little-used sidewalk around the side of house need be pavers then? Are the hardscape areas to the right and top of pool needed, or to that width? Can the landscaped area shapes relate to some design lines or something? The first option is very strange, and what $ is that really saving? Is the poolhouse an open pergola with pavers, or an enclosed building? Did you actually price the exact difference, after you are spending many thousands on a pool, poolhouse, and soft/hardscape, there is no where with the poolhouse to save, no just biting the bullet, or installing the hardscape in phases, or just using all concrete?

Hey Houzzers! Argh! I finally picked out a porcelain paver color I love and I find out from a friend that she has them around her home and finds this brand (MSI) super slippery!! 😫😫🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️ which porcelain pavers do you find to be the least slippery? Any to avoid? Thank You!!

We have checked repeatedly through the day, turned the lights on and DH went up and tapped around last night, first thing this morning and again a couple times today. No buzzes, no hummer at the feeder, no hummer on the 2 potted trees we put near the entrance to get them down from the rafters and closer to the feeder (a little over the top perhaps, but It got them to come back from the far side of the attic). DH inspected the vent and said he looked down too -- just in case. It looks like they got out! Good thing we were able to have the garage door down this evening -- we have a baby possum out there now. He's cute, but we've had the baby possum sleeping in the garage before. No need to repeat.
