It's WAY easier to photoshop if you get a dead-on straight picture of your house. Straight horizontal and vertical lines are easy but what you posted is very difficult. Can you try again?

What color is it under the eaves right now, Loves?

If you're looking for an update, I would do the paint in soft sages and creams, and put some unpainted cedar shingles in the area that appears dark in the photos (under the gable eaves).

I would build a wood pergola that extends out from the garage, supported by wood posts set in concrete in the two planters on either side of the garage. I would grow jasmine or honeysuckle vine on the pergola and soften the look of the garage, and I would also (if your HOA allows) to dress up the garage door with nice "carriage house" hardware.

Oh dear. I'm struggling with it, but it's looking like a patchwork quilt on this end. I'll keep working but I hope someone else will photoshop it for you too. Nice looking place.

Well, this is really horrible, but at least I've defined out the areas a little more clearly for someone who has the right software, so maybe this will make their start a little easier, I hope. Sorry!

I live in a complex where all the homes look pretty much the same. I want to suggest to the board that we make a change of our color scheme.

My favorite look is brown stucco with a black front door and white trim.

I wish I could just paint it but in our town every development is part of a HOA.

Oceanna- Right now there is a blue color under the eves and matching on the front door. All the houses in the development have a color on the door that matches this area.

Oh! I thought it looked like a dark blue, but didn't know if it were just a shadow.

Where on it do you want the brown, the black, and the white to go? What kind of shade of brown?

I like a dark tan for the stucco, which you can only see in the angled first photo and not the head on photo. I think a darker brown for the siding with white trim around the garage and windows. Also the garage needs to be painted white to match. Maybe black trim where the blue is.

These are just thoughts. Maybe once I see it I will think differently...

I did another one on Ben Moore by lightening up your photo to get the colors to work right. Is this the right shade of brown? Or do you need it lighter?

I like both of those. On the second photo I like the stucco color but maybe the siding color is too dark. I wonder if another shade would look better?

Also, do you think that the black looks too dark? Should I just do white on the door and top trim? Any other suggestions are really appreciated!

Hi! This may seem silly, but i'm fixated on that great trellis you have there at your entry. Did you make it yourself? Is it attached to the house or free standing? What's it made of?

I think if you go lighter on the main body, I wouldn't do the dark black at the top. But I'll play some more with it after I pick up kiddos today. ;c)

estreya- This is going to sound super stupid, but is the trellis the white structure outside the front door? If so, all of the houses in our developement have one and it is attached to the house and made of wood and painted white. I unfortunatly live in a cookie cutter community and ALL of the houses look the same in my development. I live in So Cal and this was supposed to just be a starter house but 7 yrs later with housing having gone up up up we could not afford to move and are still here. Hopefully with the market going down we can finally move to a larger home with an real driveway!!

Ah, Lindybarts to the rescue!! I'm glad. :D

You can put pics side by side just by running the HTML together without a line break. BUT, without resizing them, they might run off the screen for some and make you scroll to see it. So, I just cut and pasted both for you on a new photoshop page. I like the last one too. It really warms up the house.
