What's for dinner 4/28?

My oldest DSis and BIL will be here tomorrow to visit and spend the night before heading back to Indiana for the summer. I've been getting our dinner/breakfast made up early so I can enjoy their company. So dinner tonight is a frozen spinach pizza from Publix. Poor Harry!

I mixed some cooked pasta into the leftover slow-cooked beef and tomato sauce that I made over the weekend. It was delicious.

We had tacos one day last week. We love them too Sue! I had mini-sausages (breakfast sausages), stir-fried with peppers, onions and pineapple chunks in a soy, brown sugar, pineapple juice sauce over rice. The rest of the apple pie and leftover chocolate-zucchini cake for dessert.

I love homemade meatloaf sandwiches--with lots of ketchup and squishy bread. It is hot here, so we had a Chinese chicken salad and some thick slices of 7 grain bread from the bakery. Chinese Chicken Salad A whole cantaloupe (peeled and chopped), a chopped head of iceberg lettuce, 4 thinly sliced scallions and their tops, 1/2 c toasted sliced almonds, 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds, 2 cooked and shredded chicken breasts, one crushed package of raw Top Ramen noodles only. Dressing--1/2 c oil, 3 tablespoons of rice vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon of dry mustard, a few pinches of powdered ginger, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 2 tablespoons of sugar. Mix and let sit while you make the salad so the flavors mix, and then mix again with whisk. Add the raw noodles at the last minute.

Just took a catnap, yawn! Marilyn Sue, you have such great feasts! Always yummy fixings. grilled steak is my meal of choice, georgysmom, but our decks are wooden, and no grills, anywhere, is the rule. mary, know your nana pudding will be delicious! Can you believe, no banana's in banana pudding. goodness gracious gadgets, saw a recipe, today for coney island hot dog sauce. I love spaghetti with meat sauce served over toasted bread spread with mayo. At home, alone :o)

BBQ'd ribs, oven roasted potatoes, leftover broccoli in cheese sauce, and the rest of the honey wheat take and bake loaf I bought the other day.

Too many places closed in my area due to storms, so I IHOPED it today.

Even had to swerve, to miss a low, I mean LOW hanging traffic light. No room to pass under it without it hitting the roof of the car.

Right now Mike is cooking baked potatoes on the grill. I wrapped them in foil with sliced onion/butter/salt and pepper. Then he will cook the mushrooms wrapped in foil and steaks. I have some leftover coleslaw to go with it. I can't wait as I know it will be delicious. Not much cleanup tonight.
