We'd like details, Missy Glenda!

Do Tell? And......Me thinks..there tis more to the story.

You are now officially being a 'tease', Ms Glenda.

Shirley

I guess Glenda went and took a nap? We need details! Pictures would be nice too! lol

Whatcha been up to, lady G ??? :)

Oh, Glenda!!!!!! Where are you? We're waiting.

Miss Glenda is this the man you met at a restaurant some months ago while dining with friends hmmmmm???????

There was a knock on my door!
He opened his car door for me coming and going!
Opened the restaurant door coming and going!
He's 61 and I'm the OLDER WOMAN!

So is it a treat when a gentleman opens the door for you, or it is something you are used to?

Me, being independent, as I am, went for the door handle, and he politely said "let me".

Nice having a nice day!
Been so long!

Good for you Glenda and your gentleman friend...not too many around any more.

Is this the same man you thought you might be going out with...seems weeks ago you mentioned something, right?

Oh, gosh, I've been with my husband since 1981 so it's been a very long time since there's even been an opportunity for another guy to open a door for me.

Hubs is a keeper. He always opens the car door for me to get in, and most of the time he jumps out and gets around to my side to at least help me out if he doesn't make it time to also open the door.

He always opens doors for me going into or out of a building, too.

Nada, not that one!

He's my neighbor, who doesn't really live here. He has a main home in Peach Tree City GA, and bought the condo when I bought mine.
Bought it so he'd have a place to stay when visiting his lady friend.
Now she's not AS available, so he just comes in for a nite then gone again.

Never been invited to lunch, but he just knocked and asked if I would like to have lunch with him. OF COURSE!

He's extremely nice and it was just nice to be with the opposite sex and be treated as a lady!

Good for you!!!!!

Hmmmm, maybe he'll hang around for awhile!!

Donna (^_^)

That's great Glenda! I'm all for something that makes a person feel special!

Way to go, Glenda! I can only imagine the smile in your step. It is nice to be a lady every once in a while. Will this be the first of more outings?

Glenda, your a cougar. You devil you. LOL
Leslie

How fun Glenda. I expect men to open doors for me and they do.

At least I was treated as a lady! Been such a long time!

You go girl. Enjoy your new friend. I like to have Men Friends. I have several. Good conversation, a nice meal a couple of laughs and send them home. LOL!

I am with you,Glenda; it is nice to be treated like a lady. I understand that young men today are not sure what to do as some young women resent anyone holding a door or chair for them and tell them so in no uncertain terms.

And no one deserves to be treated anymore like a lady than you Glenda...happy to hear that you enjoyed yourself so much

And yes,the youngster, inasmuch is he is one of the younger generation,is a most discernable gentleman..all the time.

How exciting! My DH grew up in another country and they didn't have a car and they don't date over there, so opening car doors wasn't something he knew how to do. When I met him, he didn't drive, so I was always driving. He has always opened doors for me (or any woman). I get annoyed when my DH holds the door open for another woman and she sails through without so much as a thank you. I generally say loudly, "YOU'RE WELCOME". He doesn't have to do if for anyone else, but some women feel it is their right and don't bother saying thank you.

Glenda, I am wondering about his lady friend, though. Does she live in the same condo place you do? Maybe you'll become his lady friend.... :)

P.S. My mother was 6 years older than my father and they were together 39 years until her death at 66.

The first man who treated me like a lady was my Daddy. When I was a kid,and we went for a walk, he insisted on walking on the side of the sidewalk by the street. He's been gone since 1998 and I still miss him.

My husband has opened doors for me from the time I met him.

How fun, Glenda!!! I am sure it was just fun to dine with a gentleman....hopefully it will happen more! =)

Dean is very much a gentleman with doors! He also made it hard for the girls' BF's!! Kalie doesn't care as much, but Caryn expects it from a date! She will stand at a door and WAIT for it to be opened for her by her date...some guys have just never been taught that...ever!

missindia2020....I have said those same words to women that didn't have the common courtesy to say THANK YOU!!!

Glad you had fun Glenda. I hope there will be many more lunches.

We have a cougar in our mist. You go!!!

I insist on being treated like a lady. I will move slightly aside at a door, if there is a man behind me, so he knows that he is supposed to get the door. Works every time. I do always say thank you and flash a smile. I think most men like to open doors for women, they just forgot how, women's lib and all

Denny has always treated me like a lady....

But since his stroke I have opened a few for him...Some of those door are so heavy and hard to open it is hard for him. I'm careful though to let him be "the man"....
Strokes take a lot away from a person...I try to let him feel like the man he still is to me.

Glad you had a fun day Glenda....everyone needs days like that every now and then.

Woooooooooo Hoooooooooooo!

Good for you and ENJOY your future dates with him.

It IS so nice to be treated like a lady!
