Concrete discoloring

My decking is San Diego Buff (Davis) and was poured 9 months ago. When wet, the color still looks good, but when dry, there is a white haze over the entire deck. My concrete guy told me it sounded like Efflorescence. He said to use a diluted solution of muriatic acid and stiff brush to get it off.

Has anyone had a similar situation? If so, what did you use to get the "haze" off?

I also have sandiego buff concrete that is about 18 months old. It also has a white haze that started in small areas and gradually got bigger. I have tried diluted muratic acid and I even tried efflorescence remover and nothing has worked. It just seems to get worse. When it is wet it looks great, so I was thinking about putting a sealer on it. I'm not sure if that would make it worse or not. It probably should of been sealed from the start. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. I hope others may have an answer.

I've gotten remarkable results on concrete by scrubbing with TSP and a stiff brush. Try to get the real stuff, rather than TSP substitute. Rinse thoroughly. You might try muriatic acid for the white deposits. Use as directed on the bottle. Don't use both at the same time.

I have done that using my commercial grade 3800 PSI pressure washer with surface cleaner. The discoloration runs deeper than the surface.

Maybe a skim coat of concrete to freshen it up but honestly who is going to notice . Take a pic from further back as if you were walking by then decide how big of a deal this is . In my experience concrete discolors over time from just the air. The pics will also show where this is . Post here in a comment DO NOT start another post.
