Jane- The #1 rule in dealing with email is to never, never, never respond to any email asking for any info, updates, personal data, etc. Legitimate sites never send out such emails; only bad guys who want to steal your money and/or identity do. No matter how convincing or legitimate these emails seem, they aren't. Few things in life are absolute, but this rule is: don't click on any links in such a message, and delete the email immediately. If you want to check on any account you have, go directly to the site -- don't go through the bogus email, which can take you to a convincing-looking, but fake site -- and login at the real site or call the customer service number.
