Don't go by the color chart at Loews. I made that mistake once!

HD had a better in store display, it was a large board with dried grout in grooves of the different colors. That was the best indication and worked out great.

If you want the Lacrete, buy a small amount grout use on excess or ruined tiles on a board or concrete block, then let it dry. I've noticed the lacrites dry brighter and lighter than the color chart.

I second what nutbunch said - do a mock up and try it out. Seems like a bit of work, but much better than trying to re colour/redo your whole backsplash.

Thanks nutbunch and budge. Only "problem" is I have to special order other grout colors at about $25 each and 10 day wait so it could get expensive. I might drive one hour to nearest HD and look at their boards.

Beautiful tile back splash and granite counter top. I don't know anything about the butter cream grout, however, I hope this doesn't upset you or anything, but have you considered using a darker grout and possibly pick up on the brown in the granite? It might be easier to clean and the butter cream will most likely darken after a while anyway.

Butter Cream would go nicely. Another good one would be Toasted Almond. It would pick up the yellow hues from the granite. Still another would be Mushroom, which is basically a lighter version of the Butter Cream.

Grout is cheap. I would buy some, mix up a little and let it dry to be sure. What is the tile? It's very nice!

Bill thanks. It's so hard to trust the color chart and after all the expense to get the tile I would hate to have the "wrong" grout.

The tile is Jeffrey Court, color is Donegal. The glass is his Venetian Mix.

I found a small tile store I didn't even know was in our town and they had the Laticret grout color selector tool that has grout chips of all the colors. I borrowed it and it really is helping to narrow the choices. The butter cream is just a bit darker than the tiile so that may be it. I'm going to wait til evening when the light changes to look at it again against the tile.
