It does not matter which quartz company you use, DuPont zodiac, cambria, sile stone , creaser stone, or han stone and otherâÂÂs The company that invented the process is an Italian company call Breton stone. They hold the patient on the process and everyone that makes a quartz product pays a royalty to Breton Stone. The only difference between these companies is color pallet, price and quality control. By quality control I do not mean durability of the product they are all the same I mean color consistency. Cambria has the best color pallet in the industry but their color match from lot to lot even from one end of the sheet to the other has seen problems. Han Stone has one of the best color match reputations in the business. DuPont, Sile Stone, creaser Stone also have decedent color match. I would not let the color match issue deter me from Cambria; the color match issue has more to do with the off fall (a fabricator trying to use waste material from one job to another). Hope this helps. Ps. On the resin pooling you can solve this by insisting to see the slabs before your fabricator cuts them. If there is an area that you do not want they can in most cases work around it if they canâÂÂt they can order another slab and return the one you do not like. I know this requires another trip to you fabricator but with the amount of money these thing cost well worth it. I agree with Joseph... They are basically the same thing. You can find bad reviews on just about any brand if you look hard enough. A quality fabricator with a proven track record would be high on my list. Of course, I'm the chick that hired the cheapest guy I could find on CL and my granite turned out fine ... lol... But most would urge you to go with a trusted company that has been around a while. I put granite in my kitchen and quartz in my master bathroom. I wanted white or very light counter tops in my bathroom and I don't trust marble or super light granite (ex-they could yellow, stain, etch, show rust/iron spots, etc) so I went with white quartz. I know quartz can have issues too but it's less likely to happen in my opinion when compared to light granite or marble. Cambria quoted me $1600 for my 72" double sink vanity. I found a remnant piece of quartz (Hanstone brand) and got it installed for $1000. No regrets. My kitchen has darker busy granite and even if a stain popped up I doubt it would be noticeable. My mom just looked a house with a new white kitchen and light granite. The granite and orange rust/iron (?) spots all over. It was awful looking. Maybe it will come out, maybe it wont. But I surely don't want to deal with that. For me, I love all different stone types. There are some really beautiful granite choices out there. Quartz seems to be more popular and I blame the lower end granites that are overused for this reason. ex-People are tired of granite and seeing the same slabs.. But there are some truly unique and exotic granite choices out there.

So I made a final decision! We are going with Pental Akoya. I logged many miles to view full slabs of Akoya and Corian Venetian Cream. Here are the photos of the cabinets we are using with the Akoya (and potential backsplash): I am think of using Brushed Nickel pulls. Thoughts?

i am a fabricator. A post in the corner with a support beam going to the cabinet will be sufficient. The beam needs to be securely supported by the small cabinet. Easiest way is to extend the beam over the cabinet. If you screw into the side of the cabinet you need to make sure the cabinet is structurally sound at that point. Note also the foot of the post should be securely anchored to the floor.
