Need A Photoshop Favor Please

We are thinking about siding our house (the pic is similar to ours). We are trying to decide between vertical siding or possibly the cedar shake siding. Could someone do some photo shop for me and post some pictures?? We are thinking a light color for the vertical siding.....like beige or a gray....for the cedar shake siding...maybe a light shade in that also Thanks

I don't do photoshop, but if this pic is your house, I can't imagine it with cedar shakes. It would severely go against the wonderful integrity of the architecture with the vertical siding giving lift to the stron horizontal lines bearing down on the facade.

Go to home depot or certain teed web sites ... I believe they have house images that you can play with for color.

Mona, thank you, that definitely gives me an idea of what it could look like and I truly appreciate your help! Linnea, my counter is Santa Cecilia Light and the backsplash is from DalTile, it's a very pale taupe matte finish tile. Scoobyruby & Annie, I'd be the first person to admit there is nothing wrong with these cabinets. However, for the past ten years, I've had cherry cabinets and these are similar in color being that they are maple with a cherry stain. I really have "painted cabinet envy" and every time I see a beautiful kitchen with ivory cabinets, I drool....my poor keyboard has taken a beating ;) I found beautiful hardware in a black wrought iron finish that is just what I wanted. I am also planning on painting the walls after the cabinets are painted, either in a dark taupe or mossy green. My kitchen is situated in the center of the first floor and only receives indirect sunlight. That's another reason why I'd like them done in a light paint, to brighten up the kitchen. As it is, it's just too dark for me. I do appreciate all the opinions, keep 'em coming!

Thanks SquirrelHeaven. I really appreciate you taking the time to do that for me. :) I was planning on a white tablecloth. I was leaning towards the green but seeing it now I don't think the green is rich enough to pull it off. I like the gold best with it but I'm really trying to stay away from gold on the table. I'm a bigger fan of silver. However I don't think the silver looks so great with that pattern. So either I can look for some richer green chargers or go with the red. I'm thinking of going traditional this year. Here is the whole set. . .

Gotta say that I LOVE those 'Titleist' cookies as favors! :) The golfball-filled flower vases are cute as centerpieces. I also think the fresh grass centerpieces are a great idea! If you go with that, I'd recommend using wheat grass and sowing the seed 1-2 weeks prior to needing it for display (and depending on how tall you want it). It's reliable and beautiful... I grow it indoors in winter for my cats. A thought I had for individual homemade favors would be neck coolers... they're easy to sew! just do an on-line search and you'll find lots of examples.

I agree that cedar shake siding is just not appropriate for the style of your home (which I love by the way). To harmonize with the brick, the color in the bottom picture looks best, but I would search for a color that harmonizes with the brick much better. With all of the beautiful trees, a green door would look very appealing, IMHO.
