Can Someone Help Need Ideas Please

Hi i hope some one can help. We just paid to have our old screened in porch tore down and a new one built in its place using the same foundation. We went with the gable roof this time and when all was finished it looked nice. After it rained my happiness with our new porch turned into some sorrow. For some reason when they built our porch they did not leave any overhang in the front but a few inches. The screens get so soaked that you can not even see out of them. The rain also comes into the porch. Our old porch roof was a shed type roof and was much lower and also had an overhang. We hired a professional remodeler to do the work and never thought we would have to ask him to make sure he leaves an overhang. We never gave that a thought probably because we did not have the problem with our old screened in porch. We had all exposed wood covered with the maintenance free white stuff. Is there anything we can do as far as a overhang without having to take any of our porch apart. Please help with any ideas on how we can handle this.
