I've got one more report to write, then I'm putting on my swimsuit, and going out there to finish it up!

We got our furniture and cushions set out finally, and the flagstone is finished. It might get acid washed this evening, or tomorrow, and then minus a few small things (and me landscaping the rest of the beds) we're done!

We are really enjoying the pool!

Everything looks gorgeous! I love the inlay, the concave design looks so unique! What an Oasis! We have sooo much full sun, I need to sweettalk DH into pergola from our covered patio maybe.

I hated spending the money on the pergola, but to be honest, it gets 10 times the use that the pool does. I don't regret it one bit. It really is an extension of our house now.

And everyone in the 'Great State of Texas' knows how valuable a shade struture is!!! We covered (w/fan) a large portion of our decking 18 months ago--we use it so much!!! Like they say--a large percentage of your time is spent 'looking' at your pool. You might as well be comfortable while you're out of the pool & in some shade!!! Your new furniture not only looks nice, but I bet it is comfortable!!! Enjoy!

We're considering installing strip heaters in the pergola, so that we can use it during our 30 minutes of winter. ;-)

What a pretty pool/yard! I live in Spring too and had to laugh at the "30 minutes of winter". We have a chiminea and used it once. We have on old chocolate lab who likes to get in and cool off on our tanning shelf. He isn't much for swimming though. The 3 chihuahuas hate the water. If you don't mind my asking, who built your pool?

Atlantis (huskyrider on here) built the pool and the Patio and Deck Company built the pergola. :-)

Suzanne! Beach Bums is open! Check it out when you get a chance, I am anxious to hear what the public thinks of it... Seems to be getting popular already, people used to stop by and ask during construction when they would be open. I can't wait to see it up and running.

How is the pool life? We are in ours virtually every day.

We are absolutely loving the backyard! Both the pool and the pergola. I've gotten the "thanks for talking me into this" from my husband many times in the past few weeks!

We have a wrought iron fence at our breezeway now, and I get a little thrill every time I pull up my driveway and get my first few of it. We can't believe it's our backyard!

So glad to hear you enjoying the fruits of your labors! I would love to have some wrought iron, nowhere to place it since we are on a corner lot....
But, the graduation party went great, we received many compliments and one couple is even contacting the guy who helped design ours for a consult this Friday.
Sprinkler system is done as of this afternoon, we are finished!!!!
Tomorrow WILL be spent in a chair by the pool or in the pool, finally!!!!

Oh, okay... FM 2920 at Meadowhill then. I know there are two strip centers - one on either side of 2920. I sometimes cut through Normandy Forest (on the opposite side of Dove Meadows) to get from my subdivision, to I-45.

I will definitely check it out!

DH almost got her to go in by herself the other day, but then she went and laid down by our back door.

Chloe had to be coaxed in at first (with my first pool). We actually went and purchased one of those ramps so she could walk in gradually. I had no idea that they could be toxic to dogs at the time, but I then used grapes to get her to move forward.

I swear, that's all it took. She was hooked instantly, but it did take several tries before we got her in.

My husband gave her a summer cut the other day, so now she dries off soooooo much quicker. It was taking hours before, and I noticed she was starting to get mats from the swimming too. Now it's the toenails. She's worn them down to the quick!

I only found this website two days ago and am planning our pool; I have changed my plan due to how much I love yours! we have the same taste; I will post when we get started.

I can't wait to see it! :-)
