Good luck. I have been having phone interviews for faculty positions. Phone interviews are awful- and apparently I am not so great at them. I still have not gotten an in-person interview.

Do you have your lucky 4 leaf clover ready? rabbit's foot? wishbone? penny? I'd leave the horseshoe at home, that might be suspicious.

One of the questions they usually ask is what is my best quality. I am going to say "my best qualities are:

my job ethic in that my father always said to work hard and do your best. And my honesty...I don't pretend to know everything.

A friend of mine says that the Best thing about him, is that he's a perfectionist. The worst thing about him, is that he's a perfectionist. He went into detail, of what he means, of course.
He was applying for a job, and mentioned this, and got the job.....obviously tied in with his other traits.

Prepare for an interview? Sure there's a lot one can do to prepare. Google it--the advise is endless. Possible questions are easy to find on line. Also prepare some questions you will ask them.
