I'm thinking they may be 2 different colors. My glass tiles definitely do look different in different lights, and at different times of day... but never is there this much of a variation in color. Maybe email the company and ask.

ya know , although they look different, they could very easily be the same. There is thin-set behind them when installed and different lighting. The sample on it's own is probably back lit in a light box especially for the photography. Might be best to get a sample and tape it to the wall to look at it.

I notice that two of the photos are taken during the day with lots of natural light and the other two photos are taken at night. That may xplain the difference.

And it's funny what your eyes will do to you... when that is up against a dark cabinet it can look one way, but with the brightness of the white cabinet (and yes, thinset, lighting, daylight, etc, too), it can look completely different. I could definitely believe it's the same tile.

I think they are the same tile. Paint is like this too.
Sometimes it reflects and other times it absorbs.
If you can see this tile up close and personal you will
know for sure. I would order a sample, you can alway
get it credited towards your final purchase. And if it
turns out it is too blue or too grey you can always
return it.

I think they're the same. I've noted the same phenomenon on the GW postings. Ambient and focused light each change the look of colors.

I think it's interesting that the blurb says this is a way to lighten the kitchen. I would say it looks like it would mellow down a bright room. Doesn't look like it has yellowness; blueness is stronger

Kudos to the tile purveyor for their website. I can believe they are the same. It is very helpful for them to illustrate how different the tile can look

I think lighting is only part of it. The "gray" tile is in a kitchen with dark cabinets and a light countertop. The "blue" tiles are against a white cabinet and grey countertops, which will naturally make the blue more noticable. So these tiles will look different depending on what color YOUR cabinets and countertops are. they are quite beautiful!

I have noticed that pix I took of my kitchen floor look completely different in color from different times. You would think that the pro photographer would get it to look perfectly accurate, so it must be the lighting, installation and surrounding materials affecting the color.
FWIW - that is a very pretty tile in all the pix ;)

My glazed tile changes color even more than that from day to night and with fluorescent and incandescent light. It's quite normal.

From experience working with this material personally, I can tell you that it looks truer in color to the first two pictures (light grey with a slight blue undertone). It is a beautiful product!
