I just got an email that it starts on April 19th and goes thru April 22nd!

Anyone else been waiting to buy some paint to spruce up around the house?

I'm still holding out for the local Agway to go over 75% off. They just went 30 this week. I'm optimistic this year because the weather hasn't changed yet, so (my logic says) that people wouldn't have planted bulbs in this warm weather. And...people will be too busy next weekend thinking about TG and B-Friday shopping that they won't even consider buying bulbs...course, then they'll look at the calendar after the weekend and say "Oh, it's too late now, anyway" which means they're all mine!!! MUHAHAHHAHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Anele, I want to repaint my bedroom, which is now in BM Quiet Moments. I actually like the Quiet Moments, but sometimes it's a little to minty. Also, my bedroom was a barn, and has pine beams, and my furniture is dark brown, while the rug is a wool stripe with different shoes of browns and cool, gray blues (very Cape Cod-y), so I want a gray, Nantucket-y blue (SW Languid blue is exactly it!) to strike a contrast next to the browns of the rug and furniture but compliment the blues and grays in the rug. Also want to repaint my LR, which I did in BM White Sand, which I absolutely do NOT like (too peachy). I really want to do it in a darker taupe or brown, since there isn't a lot of wall space between the paintings and the windows, but the ceiling is pine and low, so I'm not sure it'll work. Too cave-like, maybe. HOwever, it's a winter LR, so warm and cozy works in that room. Just came back from the hardware store and picked up a bunch of chips. I'm liking all of the taupes. When I get home tomorrow, I'll put them all up and live with them for a while. I wouldn't be painting the LR until next fall anyway. I REALLY want to do it in BM Midsummer Night, but hmmmÃ¢ÂÂ¦that is really, really dark and may really need a white ceiling. We'll see!

My mistake...no coupon, but you can take the ad in. :) gsciencecchik, you could buy the paint early. You'd just need to be sure to stir it well before using. You can always take it back to the store and ask them to shake it up again.

I have been! I got DH to install the new lighting in the living room last weekend so I would have a week to decide on paint before the sale starts Friday. The thought was so I can compare paint chips in the correct lighting.. only now we can't settle on bulbs (one type keeps breaking, the other keeps overheating the fixture). Curses, foiled again!

I'm going to try to pull off finalizing bulbs tonight/tomorrow so I have time to post for help with paint though.

I wish I had gone with SW instead of BM for trim paint too.. BM is so expensive and I have a lot left to do... I wonder how well SW matches..

one thing you can do if you're undecided is buy the paint untinted, and then bring it back in when you figure out what you want. I did that a few months ago at one of their sales.

I really like their new emerald paint....still pretty pricey, but it goes on really nicely and has no odor.

Yay! I've been waiting for this and haven't checked my home e-mail yet. We finally picked out our new colors. Sassy Green walls, Restrained Gold trim with pine wainscoting. Woot!

Sw paint goes on sale for a reason...whatever you do, don't use it in the bathrooms. I love their colors but the paint itself sucks. Sorry just have had so much trouble with it.

Yes, I second buying the untinted paint. I have to paint my second floor and I've no idea what I want in terms of color(s) yet.

I also need to paint all my trim outside and unlike the owner before us, I do not plan to paint the trim with whitewash. For someone of means, she sure was cheap.
