Where is Moni

I just realized that Moni hasn't posted (or I have missed them). I have been curious about her new home and how the unpacking etc has been going. Hope all is ok. Satine

She did post few days ago, surrounded by boxes. Invited friends to a party, probably in a box someplace--LOL

Her sister is visiting from Germany so I imagine those two are just busy, busy, busy talking, unpacking and having fun together.

Sure would like to hear about her party, though!

Didn't feel it at all. My nephew in Florida heard about it, and asked me if I felt it. Hmmm so, I looked, and here is what I found: OKLAHOMA CITY - People across the Oklahoma City metro began posting messages to Facebook and Twitter after feeling an earthquake Wednesday afternoon, the second quake in just eight hours. The shaking began just before 2 p.m. and lasted only a few seconds. While the U.S. Geological Survey said the earthquake had a magnitude of 3.5, the Oklahoma Geological Survey ranked it higher, with a magnitude of 4.0 It was centered two miles southwest of Nicoma Park, and 11 miles east of Oklahoma City. According to the latitude and longitude coordinates from the Oklahoma Geological Survey, the epicenter was in a neighborhood between Post and Westminster to the west and east, and N.E. 10th Street and Reno to the north and south. News 9 received several messages on Facebook when the quake hit. "Felt it," wrote Theresa Vaughn. "Thought it might be wind buffeting the building, but it continued [too] long for that. Glad to know I wasn't hallucinating!" Maria Couch felt it at her home in Edmond. "I was on the couch and it started vibrating, then I look over and my water bottle on the coffee table was shaking," she wrote. There are a few reports of minor damage, but no injuries. A 2.5 magnitude earthquake struck Wednesday morning at 6:30 a.m. It was centered three miles southeast of Choctaw.

"...staying on the 3rd floor of a hotel...tornado warnings...sirens started going off... My sister told her it means take cover so she got in truck and drove to where her husband is at." She is lucky. Getting in a vehicle is one of the worst things you can do. She probably should have asked the hotel desk clerk where to take cover. Without a shelter, the rule of thumb is "Lower level. Interior room without windows."

Sitting right here... at my computer! Thanks for asking Glenda. I am so busy right now. Participated in a spring fling plant swap with the Oklahoma Gardening forum from right here at the gardenweb last Saturday. Sunday I cheered on Amy, running her first marathon during the OKC memorial marathon. Monday finalized life insurance stuff. Today, had a bike club meeting. Between all that, I am still unpacking boxes, weeding in the yard, digging up Bermuda grass, planting stuff I rather have in the BG areas... and.. and.. and... just to much stuff to mention all. :) Moni... going to bed now! good night!

Oh, you gals missed the party post... :)

Yes, sis was here. We did some mega unpacking and decorating, and had a GREAT party.

Sis is gone again, left Monday morning. I got busy about my new job, and started Tuesday morning. Now, I should be out weeding and planting.

Once again I went to Tulsa for the quarterly birthday lunch (this time for mine) and came back with a lot of potted plants that need to go in the ground.

Yesterday I dug up bermuda grass and weeds, and planted tomatoes. Today, I will weed and plant in the front flower bed, and put a new garage door control up.

I am so busy... that I went to bed last night before 8:00 PM, but had to get up at 5:30, cause my alarm will not quit without me turning it off.

I work from 6:45 to 1:15. This gives me all afternoon for all kinds of things that need attending to here.

Oh, shoot me.. LOL

The day I got the house, I got a call from the OKC school system, and found out I was hired as kitchen/cafeteria help.

I started on Tuesday.. after finishing 2 weeks notice at Home Depot.

Are you sure, I hadn't told????
