OTG- thank you for your input- I already told the DR that I won't have cortisone shots- but I'm looking into Prolotherapy or sclerotherapy. It is an inflammatory therapy which involves the injection of a known irritant, usually glucose or sodium morrhuate, into a ligament, tendon or joint. This will cause irritation of that joint for the purpose of improving the tensile strength of ligaments. Inflammation is produced in order to stimulate the formation of fibrous connective tissue which will bring about healing of that ligament or deficient structure. Prolotherapy was originally evolved by Dr. George Hackett, M.D., in Kenton, Ohio, back in the 1940s and 50s, although you can trace its origins back to the ancient Greeks. You will find references to it in medical literature under various names including sclerotherapy, prolotherapy, or proliferant therapy. More recently, it has been called non-surgical joint reconstruction, coined by Dr. William Faber, D.O., from the Milwaukee Pain Clinic, Milwaukee, Ohio. These terms are used interchangeably. It has been around for a long time and have tested it, and know the results are reliable. I explained this treatment to my Dr who has never heard of it before!

Got Iowa Girl b/c I live in Iowa. Kitty Wells b/c we had a cat named Kitty, stuff like that. I was looking forward to Linda Beck, but it's easy to replace. If somebody ordered from Maryott at the same time last year maybe you remember that one of the promos was Rachelle Agin. I was excited to get it as a bonus because otherwise I couldn't afford it. Well.. maybe it was a sign that I don't need them.. I don't remember right now how many I ordered last year but quite a bit (for me), and only two are doing well. Thought I should mention them - it's The Band Played On (really wanted it, and I'm glad it didn't die) and JKO. Both have scapes!

Avedon, I was fearing that she would pass away and I am so deeply sorry for your loss. You have been a wonderful daughter and I am sure that she felt comfort in having you there with her. I know how difficult it can be in caring for an elderly parent, and in facing the reality that they are in failing health. My heart goes out to you. Your flowers seem to be rewarding you for your caring heart. I hope that they give you some solace and peace at this difficult time. I especially love that blue salvia. Thanks, Bellsmom! I wish I could do that myself. I have MBR pics, but they're espresso maple in a dark bathroom. They're also a neat combination of cabs. :) And everyone for the compliments! I'm really happy with how they're coming out. It might take me forever to paint or stain, but in the meanwhile everything's going in them instead of boxes piled against the wall. I actually find the skinny, 4-drawer drawers useless. That's why I originally ordered 3-drawer. My plan, someday, is to do what I did with the (extra) cabinets in my MBR. I took out two drawers and one set of drawer glides. I cut out the face frame and put in a single deep drawer. Like the big ones on the 3-drawer. Then, I attached the drawer fronts back onto the big drawer so it looks just like it started. Deeper drawer are much more functional than 2.5" deep drawers. Now I can put stuff actually in them. With 18" cabinets, the drawers can only be 15" deep. Need all the space I can!
