Porch Entryway closed off - Ideas?

We are closing off the door going to our porch and putting in an Andersen Patio door in place of the 2 windows (see picture). The brick we are able to salvage from under the window is roughly 13-15 sq ft while the 3' x 7.5' opening is roughly 23 sq ft of brick. I have search all over for these brick however they are nowhere to be found. Does anyone have any good ideas on what to do with this space so we don't have to buy generic bricks and paint over to hide the difference?

My only ideas at this point are to do some sort of 3' x 5' built in shelf (see link for example) or just buy standard bricks and paint over the wall to hide the difference. Any pictures, ideas are greatly appreciated. I'm also looking for suggestions on what material to make the step out of for the new 5' patio door. The old door just has a concrete step.

Thanks :)

Here is a link that might be useful: Built-in porch shelf?
