Yard Prep - Extreme Job Pics!

Well here we go. I've enjoyed everyone else's stories - this ones' a doozy.

We probably have the worse lot to put a pool in, but my "extra loving" DH is giving me what I want. :)

18 x 34 Rectangle

6' x 34' Free Form Baja Shelf

Pentair Intelliflow everything

Intellitouch Controller

Quick Clean Pop up In Floor Cleaning System

Hydromatic Auto Pool Cover w/matching coping (20k)

3 LED Intellibrite Lights

Sport style 3 1/2 each end with 6' in middle

White Plaster

$100k

(Evidently labor doesn't come cheap in Seattle)

I will also be adding (at additional costs):

1,000 sf of poured concrete decking 7K

Built in BBQ $?

Fire Pit $1K (bought at Costco)

3 Fire/Water features for the pool 1K

Pool Equipment Shed $?

...landscaping $10K

We knew we would need a retaining wall to level our yard that slopes down and away from our house. However our 4' wall has turned into a 12' wall (They had to dig down 8' more to hit hard pan)- oohh, just add 10K to the cost :(

The little modification to the steps on our 17 year old clear cedar deck has turned into a brand new TimberTech deck after the discovery of quite a bid of dry rot. (Ohh just at $20K :(

So what was once a beautiful secluded back yard with pond and waterfalls is now a huge pile of dirt (on top of looking at the neighbors house that burned down about 5 weeks ago) :(

But we are on track for the pool to start in about 2 weeks - I know it will have all been worth it! :)

I expect the project to top out at $200K by completion.

LOL at myself - when we first started the plan I thought it would cost between $75 - $100K.
