This pork chop recipe was really good...

I fixed this last night for dinner.....nice and easy. I was looking for something different, DH loved it, that is saying something...he's so picky. Definately a keeper..the only thing I did different was the soup. It calls for mushroon and all I had was cream of chicken but it was so good. I also cooked it a little longer because we had those think boneless pork chops from costco....really thick ones.

Easy Pork Chop Bake

Makes: Makes 6 Servings Total Time: 1 hr 15 min

Ingredients:

6 boneless, lean pork chops

1 medium onion, sliced in rings

1/4 cup ketchup

3 Tb. spoons Worchestershire Sauce

1 can reduced-fat cream of mushroom soup

non-stick cooking spray

Preparation

Spray a skillet with non-stick spray. Heat to medium-hot and sear pork chops on both sides until browned. (Meat may not be done in the middle.) While chops are browning, mix cream of mushroom soup, ketchup, and worchestershire sauce together in a small bowl. When chops are browned, place them on the bottom of a casserole dish. Cover the chops with the onion rings. Pour the mushroom soup mix over all this. Cover and bake in a 350 oven for one hour. Makes its own gravy.

Yummy, that sounds good. I don't like mushroom soup anyway, so I know I'll use Cream of Chicken.

I may try this for DH & invite DBIL, but will use Cream of Celery, since they do not like mushrooms. I'm not a big fan of pork but I know they will love this.

I haven't made this in years but..... 4 thick pork loin chops...thick! 1 1/2 inches thick 1 cup or so sliced onion ( I just slice up an onion about the size of a baseball) Salt and papper to taste. 2 good sized potatoes peeled and sliced very thin. Quickly brown both sides of the pork chops in an oven proof pan with a lid. Remove the pan from the heat, add 1 cup chicken broth ( or a mix of white wine and water)...scrape up the browned biuts in the bottom of the pan and mix with the water. Top with the sliced onions. salt and pepper very lightly Add the potatoes, more salt and pepper... And top the whole thing with a 1/2 pint of sour cream. Cover and bake at 350 for 45 minutes. First of all, I wouldn't cook boneless pork or chicken in the crockpot - not unattended for a long time, as they both tend to dry out. But since neither need to be cooked very long that shouldn't be a problem. I have lots of pork recipes on my blog. Some of my favorites: Braised Ginger Pork - I just made this last week. I used cubed pork loin from Costco and it came out great. Memphis-Style Pork Chops - I love the sauce and I've made them over and over. I broil them. Sweet-Sour Pork on Rice - I swooned over this recipe. Tangy Pork Chops - a very simple recipe that I can't believe I haven't made again. I will soon. Baked Pork Chops - baked in milk and so tender. Easy Italian Spiced Pork - one of my go-tos. Best on gas grill but good on the contact grill too. I wouldn't know where to start with the chicken. Here's just a few of my fast favorites. Crumb-Coated Dijon Chicken - this is one I've made several times. I love the coating and the chicken stays so moist. Baked Lemon Chicken - I've made this 2 or 3 times. Chicken with Vegetable Sauce - I loved this and it uses a lot of pantry ingredients. Skillet Chicken Parmigiana - who doesn't love chicken parm?

I made it last summer. I found the recipe on another site. We enjoyed it. I really like cumin. I've also come across another recipe very similar except it called for 2 tsp ginger instead of cumin... but I haven't tried that one. This marinade made a nice change.. if you like cumin.

My mother used to make something like this for us when we were kids but she used tomato soup and Italian seasoning. It is still a favorite of my nephew's family and I make it from time to time. RL`

Ouuueeee....I don't know about the catsup...does it give it a kind of bbq taste?...That I would like. but the soup and catsup don't sound good to me..

I agree with Patti about the catsup, but it sounds as thought it will be very good without. I've saved this one.

No it doesn't have a catsup or bbque taste.....not at all. I thought it sounded gross too, but I decided to try it. Really makes a good gravy.....

I normally do my pork chops this way using just the cream of mushroom soup...So easy and so good!
