Like you I have an awkward tv room with three double doorways, a fire place and two windows too. One thing that has helped a lot when entertaining is to have peripheral chairs next to my fire place aswell as in my three window sunroom. The side chairs are comfy yet light enough to easily pull near the main setting for football viewing, games or conversing. I would find some light yet comfy arm chairs to place in you lovely windowed nook. And a side chair or two beside the fireplace too. Move the tv a bit toward the kitchen entry maybe on an articulating arm mounted to the wall.

Can the loveseat by the front door replace the chair, creating an L shaped seating area? If you can move the coffee table in front of the other loveseat, I wonder if you'll have a clear pathway from the front door to the closet to the hall (?) door.

You could scoot both sofas into the corners and that would help to open up the passage. But, what is that in the corner to the side of the window? Are those stairs? And, that low cabinet under the TV looks like a knee knocker. You really do have obstacles in the one and only pathway through that room. They are easy to step around, but on a constant basis they can be supremely annoying. The easiest and most immediate thing to do is to scoot that one sofa into the corner as much as possible in order to open up that passageway. Moving the TV to another wall is problematic for so many of us since the cable wires that most of us still have are not that easy to relocate. It is not a perfect and there is only so much rearrangement that you can do. It is what it is. In a more perfect sense, I would get rid of the carpet that is going to have a path worn into it, since that is the only access. And, I would get rid of one of the sofas and that low cabinet. But, that is probably not what is practical for you to do.

well, here's an example of floating the furniture if you want to get off the back wall: But, I don't think this is necessary with your layout. as grover mentioned, play around with what you have and see what looks best. In the meantime, pick a sofa and an area rug that you want. Then you can build off of that. right now everything in there is so neutral. Look at these rooms I've posted below. Some have a bold color velvet sofa, and some have a bit more leather and black/white. You say you don't know how to do color. So pick a color that you like and work it into an area rug, artwork, pillows and / or the sofa. the rich navy blue velvet is gorgeous with gray, wood flooring and other neutral textiles and camel colored leather so is a deep, forest green this one is pretty neutral except for the rug. every thing else is minimal and neutral This would look so nice w/your wood flooring, the warm colors in the rug, wood slat table, linen-type sofa, leather poufs would also work here. and notice the art work. It all just works together
