rmlanza - Actually, when I read your first post on it, my mind brought up the image of "Felix the Cat". Then I remembered his name was Felix, and that the Felix I remembered couldn't say "Ack" or anything because he was a silent cat.(Note: If you are considerably younger than I am, you may never even have heard of Felix....actually, I think I heard he was revived in the '80's and starred in an X-rated cartoon film - but I digress...)

Anyway, I've never read Bloom County cartoons, but in college I was gifted with a stuffed Opus that had Christmas balls hanging from his fake antlers, so I know he's a penguin (right?)

I think it's fascinating the way our minds work to make connections and have enjoyed reading the posts in this thread. I was going to reveal my first name so you could replace the image of Bill the Cat with something closer to who I am, but seeing the pic you posted of him, well, the little guy is growing on me!

I've always used sandsonik for every screen name since I got on the internet. My first name is Sandra, and my last name was a long Polish name that had a lot of S's and Z's and was generally intimidating. A co-worker used to call me Sandy Sonic because sonic rhymed with the ending of the last name. Hence the screen name. Oh, it ends in k instead of c because my maiden name ended with k.

I have six dogs. Ohhhhhhhh, one of them is peeing on the couch as I type!!!!!!!!

We bought a house a year ago on 7 acres of never-mowed lakefront land with the intent of remodeling it inside and out. My DH and would walk around it and call it our 'estate.' One day he came up with the fittingly unpretentious name for our estate: Weedy Acres. When I discovered GW ~4 months ago, I was all about finding info to help in our transformation, so it seemed like a fitting moniker.

My partner's name is Sam, our Jack Russell Terrier's name is Bruno, Sam is Italian, and a Doctor Seuss take on the two of them similiar to "Sam I Am" is "Bruno I Am" and in Italian it's "Bruno son'io", or brunosonio.

I'm never good at picking names in situations like this. So I thought about things I liked. For some reason the egg and dart motif came to me. It's a decoration the greeks and romans used to carve into their architecture. The first time I saw it, it was carved into a chunk of marble lying on the ground at the roman forum. It had been hand carved about two thousand years ago. I wished I could take it home with me. I probably could have (the security seemed non-existent there) except that it probably weighed a hundred pounds...

When I am not TKO.....actually in total house reno mode ....pictures to come after ski season.....I am a totally obessed knitter. There isn't a yarn store that doesn't call out my name with some new unique yare that simply needs to be made up by me.....I have twin 10 year boys and a husband whose business and passion is around building and playing guitars - not so much knitting for them (too hot they say...) but lots for me and others close to us.

I've been "starpooh" for 11 years. It started when we were looking for a distinctive email address for our family. So we took a family vote.
My vote was for "tearose" because I love the smell of roses. DH and my then 8-year-old DS voted for "roadkill" because they're both jokesters. My youngest DS voted for "no_nap" because, as a 2 year old, that was his favorite phrase.
So I suggested "starpooh", named after a gorgeous desktop wallpaper that I had found. After much discussion (and whining from Mr. "no-nap"), we decided that starpooh fit our family.

I was friends with someone very active on a Buffett forum, and went to a concert and met a lot if them (I had been a PH for years, just not online)- they referred to me as the "Hottie in the Coconut Bra" which was way too long to type, so I shortened it to Coconuts, which was taken by the time I found this site. I registered right after we got married, so I chose Coco n Tom.
