Paint color with Emperador Dark Marble

We did a mini-update on our little powder room as a "while we are at it" with the kitchen remodel with new counters, sink, and gel stained the vanity. Now we need to paint, I thought that selecting a paint color with the Emperador Dark marble would be easy with all of the colors in the veining. However, it is not proving as straightforward as I thought. Just planning on a medium tan, but can't figure out how "yellow" to go (FYI, no natural light, and not great artificial light). So, I know that it is hard to get a true color on a monitor, but maybe somebody has had real experiences with these colors (more so than a 1" square on a paintdeck). My front runners to far are either BM Chocolate Mousse or Stone House, but am also open to other suggestions

stay light-the 2nd paint chip from the top on the row you have out on the counter there. Great results you have!

I love your bathroom update/mini reno. Perfect!
Why not try something very light and creamy to bring out
the veining in your stone?

My sister has this kind of stone in her guest house.
I love it.

I just want to say that I received my Crossville Buenos Aires Mood in Polo (the lightest color, sort of light pearl gray) in textured 12 by 12 with polished 6 by 6 pieces for accents and I love it much more than I would have expected. It has some color variation but is not at all busy and it looks like a perfect floor. I really had no desire to try to mimic stone (I wanted either real stone or tile that looked like tile) but these tiles are surprising me in how good they look--like a floor that's been around a long time, like old stone, but with the benefit of being porcelain! Eventually I'll post a picture, but just wanted to express my enthusiasm for what I thought would be a compromise but turned out to be a great decision!

In my new master bath, I have an espresso vanity, carrera marble counter and we did our floor and shower in 12x12 tile that looks like porcelain. I have to say - it looks AWESOME! Anyone that I tell that the tile is actually porcelain (including my builder who builds VERY nice homes) is shocked. So, I got the marble look with porcelain upkeep. I'll try to post pictures soon - my mirrors just got mounted yesterday and now they need to put up our vanity lights. Oh yes - I don't have my window treatments, so I have paper over the windows!

What people often do is to cut or have cut a rectangular piece, say 2" x 12", to attach to the bottom of the bullnose. So it becomes a rounded edge with an attached overhang. You don't even necessarily have to do that, if you are going for angles--you could just polish the outer edge of the countertop piece and attach the 2" overhang piece on that. It would be an angle, then, as opposed to a curve.

We're also discussing it on the thread: Pls. help with soft gray for bathroom (or similar). Really, any color can be used with cararra depending on the look you are after and how much gray veining the stone has. I like a little contrast between the elements. Since your vanity is so dark,instead of choosing such a deep eggplant how about a medium gray with eggplant undertones. I bought emperador marble tiles to put on my sideboard top. What I have has quite a bit of gold in the veining, if yours is the same I'd stay away from the grey tones and go with something towards cream, making sure to get yellow undertones and not blue. When picking your color, look at the formula for the tints added, it can help determine the undertones

Consider a light coral pink on one or two walls. This room reads very dark and sober to me.

I am just about to have this beautiful stone put into my master bath. I've been paying on it for a year.

I was beginning to ponder the same question!!

I happen to have a deep coral towel set that I love with the brown/gray/cream tile I used on the floor. It looks fantastic, IMHO. I should have drywall in the bathroom soon, and cannot WAIT to paint!
