The link I've posted below has several period designs that might work for you (in porcelain) so you don't have to compromise your vision. Their pricing may be a bit high, but it's a good starting point for you to see what's available.

I have been having a hard time visualizing a dark foor as everything is so taupy/tanny out there - so grey would be a good choice to pull it all together! I appreciate your taking the time to respond!

Unfortunately I don't know the name. I got it at a local tile store north of Boston. It's a 12x24 and the sku number is 0N-75-1. If you go with grey, make sure the tone matches that in the marble.

kittenkat-OMG! I have wanted that bedding forever and to finally see it in someones room with dark wood furniture like I have makes me love it even more. Can you share the paint color in your bedroom and bathroom?

YAY I'm so glad to provide inspiration. The paint color in the bathroom is BM quiet moments (Brooklyn limestone aka mrs limestone was my inspiration for the bathroom. The bedroom color is BM marina gray. I love both colors! Also, the colors in the PB duvet is great, not orangish like the reviews said. Watch for sales.

In my new master bath, I have an espresso vanity, carrera marble counter and we did our floor and shower in 12x12 tile that looks like porcelain. I have to say - it looks AWESOME! Anyone that I tell that the tile is actually porcelain (including my builder who builds VERY nice homes) is shocked. So, I got the marble look with porcelain upkeep. I'll try to post pictures soon - my mirrors just got mounted yesterday and now they need to put up our vanity lights. Oh yes - I don't have my window treatments, so I have paper over the windows!

You described a bathroom I did several years ago almost to a "T". And the floor WAS honed carrara marble.

Here are pictures of my bathroom with marble vanity top and porcelain carrera look floors. Unfortunately, I do not remember the name of the tile. I will try to find out, but do not have it written down anywhere at home (this was part of a whole house remodel/addition and we picked out tile at the local design showroom). Don't mind the paper taped to the windows (window treatments not ready yet) and the lack of light in the vanity!

Which tile showroom did you go to? I'm in Michigan, too, so maybe it's close by.

Virginia Tile in the Michigan design center in Troy. They have a HUGE selection. Also, Ann Sachs is ring across the hall.
