Just got my prize from Flamingo and Jen..... (2 pics)

I'll have to remember to enter all the KT contests now! Look at the loot!

I got a couple fun flamingo napkins, straws and some of those little drink umbrellas, some travel sized bath scrubbies, some magic towels and a very pretty chunky glass hangie thing!

I think there was some laughing going on though when they added the Magic Towel - Place in Water and watch it (Uranus) grow! Naughty drunks! lol

Anyhoo - thank you girls very much! Now get to thinking up some more contests I can win!! haha...

I am so happy to see your pictures again! I was here back then, but mostly lurking, which I still do a lot because I am not very good about id-ing my plants since the dogs destroyed my labels and I gave up There are a few I know the names of, but not too many. You were one of my secret mentors when I started my hosta planting! I am sorry your 'When I Dream' was a disappointment, but there is so much to love about your gardens! Thank you for that!!!

Steve, I thought this would give you a better idea of how large Squash Casserole is (and did divide it last year). Here is a another hosta for camparison, this is Elegans which has been in this spot for 8 years. Karen I would say the average age of most of my hostas are anywhere from 4-8 years. I did have the advantage of having some great local growers, so I often bought mature hostas. TJ I did want to kick the hosta hater right down the street! LOL Jen

Pat - the similarity isn't surprising... Bright Lights is a tokudama, and the original tokudama is a solid blue with those good tokudama characteristics. I've actually got a large blue plant labeled "Sport of 'Bright Lights'" in a prominent spot and it gets nice remarks. Love Pat is also a blue tokudama... a selection that I have found pretty similar to other blue tokudamas - meaning attractive - and sloooowwww... and thanks, Margo, for confirming my hope that that first one is Atlantis. I am a huge fan of Abba Dabba Do, so when I got a shot at some wholesale Atlantis this year I picked them up - and promptly sold all but one I kept for myself. I am anxious to see these grow up!

My two Jeri Jennings are still kinda small after two years in my garden and have put out a few blooms in shades of gold-yellow-cream, but nothing much is happening with them as a whole. However, I'm not worried. I have another hybrid musk (Pink Prosperity) that didn't get big and into serious blooming until its third year, so I'm looking forward eagerly to next spring when my Jeris take off--and I'll let you know if I get a pink tint or not. I'm glad you like your little goodies. Jen and I had fun shopping for you. We both really liked the dangling thing, you're lucky it ended up in the box and not in my suitcase! lol Naughty drunks? Us? Oh, come ON! We're so not naughty. rofl

The bath scrubbies are so cool- just the right size for a guest to use and then take home with them, I bought myself some because I liked the idea. I wonder if Jen is looking for the one she had in my bathroom? ;)

You're a lucky little weiner, Lydia, I'm glad you liked your loot. We enjoyed making it up and going to the PO and everything. It's fun to do fun things for your friends, WITH your friends!

Winston is about 11 months we're figuring. We decided to make his birthday the day DD found him (which was DH and I's wedding anniversary) to make it easy. He is such a funny little guy.

The bath scrubbies are so cool- just the right size for a guest to use and then take home with them...that's an idea.... but I was thinking they'd be perfect for me on vacation! lol

Thanks again! Today was a like a little bitty Christmas. lol

Hi Lydia! Glad you liked your prize. We had a lot of fun shopping and looking. We both liked the glass hangie thing and that was the last one they had so it really is a wonder it made it in the box! lol

You tell Winston we put that pretty tissue paper in there 'specially for him. Looks like he's enjoying it and he wasn't even the "big weiner" as Flamey says!

That was so much fun, we need to think up another contest. Keep on your toes KTers cause you never know when you might be on "Flamey & Jen Prize Patrol".

You can't beat 'em, Lori, you have to JOIN 'em! I had the best time at Jen's house. She is just the sweetest, most considerate hostess I've ever met and her house is so comfy. Plus, her DH was out of town, so it was an all-girl getaway, that was wonderful. AND her water heater waited until just after I left to explode and leak water all over her carpet, so see what I mean about considerate?

Ask Stinky how long she had to go without a proper bath!
