OK, so I plan on having the lights on 18 hours/day. My off time will be from 1pm to 7pm. I will keep the shade drawn on my little window so it will be quite dim/dark in there when the lights are off during daylight. I may gradually change the lighting time to be more in sync with nature as the seedlings mature, and the nights are not soooo cold in mid March. Hopefully by April they will be on a regular natural light regimine to star hardening off Thanks guys Brian

There are plenty of others on the forum that have WAY MORE than me - you're lucky, really..." I don't think he believes it...hell, I don't think anyone believes it but it seems like the right thing to say. I can't believe your DSP is blooming, CONGRATS!!! I'm, getting to the point where I need some kind of dolly or something, there's no reason to suffer through lugging these pots if I can find something that'll work. Before I shell out the big bucks on the tree dolly K got, I did some research & found this one: Most regular dollies just won't work, the toe plate is too short. This one however, says the unfolded depth is 32", so the toe plate must be substantially larger than average. The reviews I could find say that also. The toe plate on the one K got from Northern Tool says the toe plate is 21", I think this one should be almost as long. It's rated for 250 lbs. although Bosch says you could go 275. It's fully collapsible for storage or transport but the reviews are great, saying it's sturdy. It's called the Bosch L Cart and it's made to hold these tool box things but of course many people are using it as a regular dolly. It was $99 + tax / free shipping. Love that you decorate for the kids to see. I can't put things out,they would disappear but I have long decorated my windows. 2 rooms are on front of house so I used leaf garland, pinecones, old cutouts from when my kids were young along with couple I've gotten in recent years, pumpkin with flowers in it etc, kids like it & often comment & neighbor across street makes up for what I don't do. His yard is full of ghouls & every year it changes so waiting for this year! Love your gourds, I'm going to have to try growing some. Guessing it's NOT a northern exposure. Sunlight strips chroma or in other words is washes color out. In order to stand up to abundant light, there has to be some color in your paint color. Going from day perception to night perception shouldn't be that big of a deal because of this thing called chromatic adaptation. Over time, you learn or rehearse a specific color. Take a banana for example. Bananas are banana yellow no matter what the light source. It's yellow in the kitchen in the day time *same as* it's yellow in the dining room at night. Because we've learned what banana yellow *is*. Bananas have been a constant in our color experience and no matter what degree of color acuity one may have, everyone can identify a banana as what they know to be yellow. (color vision impaired notwithstanding) Your wall color should *adapt* in the same manner given a short period of time. (actually you're the one that adapts) What your describing isn't the typical issue of color constancy - meaning it looks one way under one light source and then changes in color characteristic - like shifts from yellow to a sickly yellow-green. (an argument for metamerism is in this mix too) What you're descrbing is a shift down/up in chromatic value. And I would suggest that is something that would correct itself provided the paint color is chosen to meet your expectations in the natural light source, not the artificial.
