Impossible buttermilk pie recipe?

Does anyone have the recipe for a pie called Impossible Buttermilk Pie? You put buttermilk, eggs, coconut, etc. into blender and it makes its own crust. Would love to make it.

I don't have the recipe.Seems like someone here posted it.I tried it and we didn't care for it.

You could try the Bisquick site. I think most of those "Impossible" pies come from there.

I found them, but the cocanut pie calls for reg milk.

Don't know if this is close, but there seems to be a bunch of them like this that call for coconut. Maybe you could leave it out? IMPOSSIBLE PIE 4 eggs, well beaten 1 3/4 cups sugar 1/2 cup self-rising flour 1/2 stick margarine, melted 1 tsp. vanilla 2 cups milk 7 oz. coconut, fresh or Angel Flake Mix sugar and flour, add beaten eggs. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into 2 greased 9 inch pie pans. Bake at 350 degrees until brown on top--about 35 minutes. Makes its own crust.

can I freeze an 'impossible pie'?

I have lots of impossible quiches in the freezer. Some with salmon, chicken, or ham, and others just veggies, cut into portion sizes, wrapped in wax paper, then in aluminum foil. I nuke them in the wax paper on defrost for about a minute and a half, then unwrapped for a minute or so on high. Never found them to be rubbery unless I use cheap cheese (American, Velveeta, etc.) so Swiss, Muenster, Colby, or Cheddar is used and I don't use the pre-grated Parmesan in a can (that loses its flavor when frozen for some reason). Those pies make a great snack or lunch, and somebody in my house sneaks them at midnight. But, better than a doughnut, I'd say. Nancy

I'm late to the party, but I wanted to add this bit of info. Several years ago, I saved a pie crust recipe from the King Arthur Flour website that was entitled, "Our Favorite Pie Crust." It was from their Autumn 2001 issue of "The Baking Sheet." Anyhow, the recipe included an optional tablespoon of buttermilk powder. The recipe notes said the buttermilk powder was for tenderness. The recipe has since been removed from the website, but I've still got my printed copy. It uses half butter and half shortening and also includes some baking powder and vinegar. FWIW, I made the pie crust once and noted that the dough was very easy to work with. KAF also has a current recipe for whole wheat pie dough that includes an optional tablespoon of buttermilk powder. This recipe is adapted from the KAF Whole Grain Baking cookbook. So I guess the idea of using buttermilk in pie crust may be unusual but not unheard of.

Homemade yogurt and buttermilk always reside in my fridge, in a Kumbaya existence. Neither go to waste---or waist---except for Blueberry Buttermilk Ice Cream. Note: This is my adaptation of a recipe shared here. I substituted full-fat buttermilk for the whole milk. Plus, I added 2 cups of fresh blueberries. Blueberry Buttermilk Ice Cream 2 cups fresh blueberries 1 cup granulated sugar 1 Tablespoon finely grated lemon zest 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice 1/8 teaspoon salt 1 cup heavy cream 1 cup full-fat buttermilk In a large saucepan, combine blueberries, sugar, lemon zest and lemon juice. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer. Cook until blueberries break down and sugar is dissolved. Allow blueberry mixture to cool slightly, about 10 minutes. Purée mixture in a high-powered blender, or in a food processor, until smooth (if a FP is used, the mixture should be strained). Set aside to cool completely. Add heavy cream and buttermilk to cooled berry mixture (still in the blender), and whirl to combine. Transfer contents to a large bowl. Cover and refrigerate 8 hours, or overnight. This is from Recipezaar

1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup Bisquick baking mix
1 cup buttermilk
1/3 cup margarine or butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 eggs
1/4 cup coconut
Directions
1Heat oven to 350. Grease pie plate. Beat all ingredients until smooth, 30 seconds in blender on high or 1 minute w/ hand blender. Pour into pie plate. Bake for 40-45 minutes. Cool 5 minutes. ENJOY!

I have made this one, and I can say it is pretty darn good.

Coconut pie that makes its own crust.

4 eggs
1/2 cup melted butter
1 1/3 cup white sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 cups milk
1 cup coconut
1 tsp vanilla

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Place all the ingredients in a blender, one at a time. Blend until all mixed together.***or do as I did, whisk it until smooth. Pour mixture into a buttered deep dish 10-inch pie pan. Bake at 375 for 30-35 minutes. When done, the crust will be on the bottom.
