My man takes forever, too. He puts on his coat and hat (a Yankee baseball hat), then looks to make sure he has his watch, wallet, keys, cellphone. When he gets to the car, he takes forever to sit down and put on his seatbelt.

I am the pokie one in the family. That and the girls, they always seem to be underfoot or in the way all the time.

HA..I see main man being pulled like a tow rope. Funny Gayle. We don't seem to have that problem...(yet).

My husband doesn't understand. When you have a doctor's appointment for 11 o'clock, that means at 11 you are in the doctor's office, not driving around the building trying to find a parking space.

LOL...a pull toy! I picture his head bobbing up and down as he rolls along! LOL....LOL.....My dh is very vain and has to look in the mirror a dozen times while I wait in the car. I hate it, he knows it and primps longer to irritate me!

I just gotta tell ya...."main man" ......that sounds like you have a dozen or so and he is just the main one....LOL

I think they are all slow.

From day one...almost 42 years ago.... Denny hasn't been able to walk across the room and button his shirt at the same time...

Since the stroke....wow....all I can say is , it's a good thing we live in an open concept home so there is room to move around him...But at least he can still walk and talk and kiss...."S"

DH also has a touch of OCD...I told him if he just carried a purse, he'd always know where his wallet, keys, sunglasses, cell phone, etc., were at any given time -- no need to hunt for everything and pat all pockets and freak out if the cell phone is in the wrong place. I even offered to buy him a bigger fanny pack or smaller daypack, both "manly" substitutes for what is really a purse.

We have a friend who is a Retired History Professor, who visits. He lived in South America for a while, and he carries this kind of Bag he purchased there. His checkbook, cellphone, wallet, camera, water, and keys are always with him. He doesn't wear shirts or trousers with pockets and wears crocs year round. LOL! No, he isn't gay.

The reason I call Main Man that is, most of my friends are Men. I don't date them, but if Main Man doesn't want to go someplace I call in a sub. LOL! We are more like family. I'm just one of the Guys.

My whole family of inlaws is chronically late. One of them acknowledges this and told me "Just invite them for an hour early, that way they'll show up on time." I did it and it worked! Tell them, come at three, They show up at four.

My son in law is ALWAYS late. We were to be at his cousins house on Easter at 2:00 and he's cleaning the pool when Melanie (my DD) calls to see where he is. That's why they always drive 2 cars anywhere. A waste of gas IMHO. But she goes on without him, and he can explain his own reason for being late.

How about a skateboard for slow-moving critters?

Farmers have a red and orange reflective triangle that they put on the back of their equipment, around here. Could you use one of those, stuck on his back?

I've suggested to several dog-walkers that what they needed was a skateboard and a rope.

Thanks Ed, good idea. He walks his one mile every day. I don't know what good it does, he doesn't raise his heart rate one beat. LOL!
