Nicking Hibiscus seeds?
Comments (23)i am sorry but those are not hibiscus seeds. they are smooth and shiny and too small. sellers you can trust: 1hotrj ( richard johnson), plant_maniac ( dave thomspon - not sure he has seeds), and tezula looks promising for unbloomed seedlings but i haven't ordered from them yet. Richard is about to go on vacation so he won't be posting any more auctions until august he said....See MoreJust in the nick of time (pics)......
Comments (15)Thanks to you all for the nice compliments. I have to admit though, I'm really not enamored with the wall paint color. It's BM Bar Harbor Beige and I think it's too light. DH and I went back and forth and finally I took my tile samples to the paint store and let a designer choose the colors. DH says a darker color will make the small bathroom too dark but I think the white fixtures and light ceiling will balance it out. Besides, I think a deeper color will set off the reflective glass tile better. Bearing in mind I took the photos went it was dark outside, what do you think?...See Morelight rail - can you see the light?
Comments (10)I have to say your cabinet doors don't look like they are flush at the bottom of the the face frame so I don't see why they needed to drop the light rail further (there looks to be enough clearance for the doors to swing freely if the light rail was installed flush to the bottom of the face frame). Is the blocked piece in the gap on the shallower cabinet (on the right of your picture) a spacer to drop the rail? I'm not an installer but it doesn't seem necessary to me....See MoreEasy way to touch up nicks in varnished frames?
Comments (5)Oh, my goodness. I laid them out to touch up the frames tonight, and got a good look at them in better light. They aren’t reproductions, but PAINTINGS! On rice paper. No wonder I couldn’t see any “dots.” The outlines are done with black ink, and there are washes of water color. White tones like highlights have some dimensionality, which was my first indication. But the paper is also warped a little in spots from the watercolor. I did sumi-e painting in high school and college. You cansee the texture of the rice paper at some angles. I realized when I saw them all laid out that they are a “Four seasons” landscape series. Glad I didn’t stop at choosing just 2, as I was initially going to do! I would take photos, but my camera can’t upload to the computer for now. (My hard drive is full, I have too many pictures). I’ll have to post again when that issue is resolved....See MoreFori
