I certainly did. It was HOT under the pool bubble. It's coming off, as I type, for the spring and summer, yea!

Yep! Just walked (very briskly) over to our attorney building to deliver an audio CD for a stoopid attorney who is past due on his CLE credits... Doh. And he was leaving in 30 minutes.

Jerk!

Are the Hosta seeds I sent some of you up yet?
Q

I kept very poor records of my trades this year (sorry!) But I know that I received Hosta seeds from 2 generous traders, & I think you were one. I w/s them back in March, & started getting sprouts in May. I did Hostas once before & they were slow germenators, so I don't give up on them quickly! They're still little bitty sprouts, but I plan to take them out of the jugs this week & put them into their own little pots. I'll let them grow up this year, winter them in the pots-sunk into the ground, & plant them out next year. They aren't the quickest growers, but they're worth it! Thanks! Oh, and any tips on saving seed to pass it along? (I always feel like I should save seed from the plants that I planted from saved seed to pass it along!)

Have you put up your hummingbird feeders yet?

They must've remembered from last year Vickie. I believe they return to the same spot every year. I bought a few plants for the hummingbirds. Orchlein's in Republic had hanging baskets of red verbena on sale for $7.50. I got one for my mother and one for myself. Wal-Mart and Lowe's in north Spfd both had annual red salvia on clearance so I got a couple six packs of that too. I couldn't find any 'Lady in Red' like I got there last year. I think they like it better than the common salvia splendens that they always have. Hoping they'll get some in later. If anyone sees 'Black and Blue' anywhere, let me know. I'd like to get one of those. Lowe's had it last year but they were out already when I checked.

anyone in zone 6 have aquilegia canandensis (native) up yet?
Q

I think I planted them about 3 times, before the last one survived. But it's not flourishing. At the local nursery, they always had beautiful healthy ones growing, and I just couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. Don't give up though. Do you find that they are hard to find? I haven't seen the native ones around anywhere. You'd think they'd be popular.

Duct work sweats too much

I agree with ionized. I had a very slight issue with humidity in the basement and plan to eventually finish it. I solved my issue by adding a supply vent on one end of the house and a return on the other in the basement which moves enough air around to keep things under control. You will need more than just some airflow. I would check into adding a dehumidifier and searching and reducing the sources if possible.

Yup, worked in the yard till past noon. Came in, ate, and went back out. When it started raining I came back in, played some on the puter, and went back out, when it stopped. Eventually I had to retreat again. But meanwhile I got a nice long trench done, to try and channel the rain water without getting the yard washed out. Will see, how that works, and then maybe put in a drain pipe.

I did a weight workout before showering. Thinking of a run to the store for now.

I haven't been doing regulated exercise the past few days but have done lots of lifting, digging, climbing, squats, etc while working in the house and in the garden.
Whatever it is I am doing, it is good because I am losing weight and gaining strength.
I am looking forward to going back to the gym soon.

K - whose frame is complaining - 19 times??

Get sheep.

Sell the lawnmower.

Sell the fertilizer spreader, too.

But - building the fence is quite a job ...

... it'll take a while.

Don't sell the tools just yet ... maybe next year ... after the fence's done?
