We eloped 44 years ago today! Got married in Cincinnati and the spent our two day honeymoon in Berea and Lexington, Kentucky. Wish I could visit Berea again, but we are way across the country these days.

My guy and I are planning on eloping with a surprise dinner announcement party. We're going to get married on the beach in Hawaii, the same beach we vacationed years before. Were strapped for cash, I am from a big family we cannot afford a huge wedding, so we opted out on that, and are going to just do with the honeymoon. We're going to have a dinner party with our 50 closest friends and family, to announce our elopement. I entered into a contest to win my dream wedding dress, but the contest requires that you get people to go to the website. Whichever is the most "viral" wins. Because we are eloping, I cannot send the link to family or friends or it will ruin the surprise/romance element, I have to rely on complete strangers to help me out. Here's the link.. Ah he has a mighty lung capacity! It must be all that boating, skiing and bicycling. Were you able to get the wax off the tablecloth or did that burn too? We were at a holiday party last year when all of a sudden I smelled the distinctive aroma of singed hair. I turned around and a woman with long hair had leaned over the buffet table and her tresses bushed up against one of the candles. She was busy filling her plate and since it was later in the evening probably had already had several glasses of wine and was slow to react. She wasn't hurt but her hair was quite a bit shorter on one side and the hostess had to spray air freshener to help remove the odor.

... and, in addition to a couple of days initially ... youve had a 44-year honeymoon?
