Design help with living room - HELP!

Greetings,

I'm in need of some good advice on what to do with my living room. I recently remodeled it by updating the fireplace, adding some windows and installing a casual HT entertainment system. I've got a huge couch section as well and the room just doesn't seem to fit together. the fireplace is awesome but i think it conflicts with the HT wall. The couch section is comfy but is too far from HT section (16 feet)

Here are some pics to get the disucssion started.

A couple of notes/concerns

I have replaced the toddler saucer bug with a chair from IKEA: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S19825209

the room is very comfortable for us but when i look at it from the kitchen it doesn't seem to flow very well. I thought it might be cool to just do a table and chairs with area rug in front of fire place and get rid of the big Sofa area on the far wall, but that wouldn't work with the entertainment wall.

I'm wondering if anyone had any ideas to help make this room more uniform/stylish yet still maintain that livibility factor.

Thanks

Dan,
