Since you have multiple questions I will take them one at a time. #1 Is there a conversion kit (generic or custom) that I can buy to fit? Answer: NO #2 How much do you think it would cost? Answer: More than the stove cost you. Could be in the range of $1000-2500. Maybe more maybe less. #3 How much flue pipe should I run up the chimney? Answer: All the way up. And this is stainless steel reline pipe. Nothing else is accepted. #4 Will this impact my home insurance rates? Answer: Probably. Most likely they will want to do an inspection before allowing you to renew the insurance. This is not a job for the DIYer. Do not even attempt it. Get a licensed woodstove installer to come out and give you an estimate. Plus, I do not recommend that you use this top-venting stove and doing elbows. No. It's my fault. I overlooked it in the sketches. I was too consumed by designing the mantle and the built in bookcase that I got "sloppy" on the kitchen. I had the sketches for one day before I had to meet with him to give him the go ahead. I can't believe I overlooked that. Duh! The refrigerator fitting into your cabinets the way you want is pretty huge. I fumbled around with the microwave fitting and didn't even look at the fridge. I also had a nasty stomach flu at the time. So yes, I will have to pay for it. that is why I'm hoping there's a way to get it fixed without ripping it all out. thanks, bridget

@https://www.houzz.com/user/christine-kim652 I remodeled in Los Angeles and had custom cabinets for kitchen, bathrooms, a wall in my home office and a room divider. The guy also did some miscellaneous stuff like my interior doors which were a custom design. I don't think anyone can give you a ballpark figure because it is going to be dependent on the design including the configuration, the wood species and the door. I will say that I had the guy come back relatively recently to reconfigure the interiors of some of my cabinets. He constructed and installed rollouts for the upper shelves of my pantry to make them more accessible and an additional shelf rollout in one of my bathroom vanity cabinets. He also changed one of the doors in my sink cabinet (the one that held the trash container) so that the door pulled out in one motion instead of how it had been originally configured which was open the door and pull it out. He also had made a custom ceiling medallion for a vintage chandelier. The cost for this - including installation was $1800 - the medallion was $500 so the other stuff was $1300. I wasn't charged tax on the items or the installation nor did I pay tax on any of the cabinets or other stuff he made and installed during the remodel. However, there is sales tax payable for the services of an interior designer in California.
